I've walked by the Theatre Royal countless times yet I've never been to a show until last nights performance of "No Man's Land" headlined by Sir Patrick Stewart and Sir Ian McKellen. You can't miss the building, it's right bang in the centre of town, and, having lived around here for decades, I have to admit it blends into the... More

My boyfriend and I bought tickets to see 'No Man's Land' a Harold Pinter play in the Upper Circle. The seats were very comfortable and the view was terrific. We were seated quickly and there were enough staff around to guide patrons to their seats, the toilet etc. This is a very clean and traditional theatre with good sound and... More

This is a lovely old theatre in the middle of Newcastle. It's easy to get to and lots of pubs and restaurants nearby. We went to a matinee and it was full, but you don't feel crowded. There's plenty of legroom and the seats are a decent size. We were in the stalls and I think there should be a... More

Great theatre, beautiful design and architecture. Easy to find but hard to get parked near by. Acoustics very good, staff friendly and bar not overly pricey. Very steep stairs in upper seating so if mobility is an issue would recommend ground floor.

Always a lovely place to visit for a night out. As soon as you walk into the Foyer you can feel the atmosphere from years past. A beautiful traditional theatre.

Went to watch Chicago with youngest daughter, had a fabulous night - was my daughters first visit to watch something other than panto - comfortable seats, plenty of leg room, we were sat in the Stalls 2nd last row - could see everything - would definitely be going back.

We saw No Mans Land here on Monday, this was our first visit since the refit (we don't get out much!). Previously I'd been uncomfortable due to close proximity of seats and being 6'2" tall. I was very comfortable in the stalls this time (row d). The building is beautiful inside and out. If you can't catch a performance they... More

We took our Californian friend to see Chicago at the Theatre Royal. We all thoroughly enjoyed the musical, the music, dancing & singing. Despite the Theatre Royal having been refurbished to a high standard we all felt that the seats were very hard in the Stalls. It was very uncomfortable having to sit on these seats for the duration of... More

Chicago - fantastic touring production, go and see it! John Partridge was fabulous , great performance and voice! (and had time foe a chat and the selfies at the stage door!) Also Hayley Tamaddon was a stand out. The whole cast were tremendous. Loved it!
