Busy ,busy pub .
Oct 2021 • Friends
My twin brother Stephen and I were pub hopping around this part of town and dropped into The Percy Arms Pub and what a great find.
Walking in and I knew I would enjoy my visit here ,the interior is superb, a solid wood serving bar dominates the main room, tv's and big screens to enjoy the sport, pubby decor and furnishings, great neon lighting features and plenty of seating options spread throughout this pub, its just a fantastic pub to chill out in.
We were here on a Monday night, pub was packed with a great atmosphere, we ordered at the bar and both went for Carling lager, served iced cold and sparkling, we just kicked back and soaked up the great vibe in this busy and popular pub
My beer was really good, not my usual tipple, more a real ale and craft beer fan myself but on a hot night this light, hoppy and unpretentious lager style beer bursting with taste was just so refreshing made even more enjoyable by the great vibe in this pub.
We really enjoyed our lagers in here before we moved on and although our visit was only fleeting for a first time visit to The Percy Arms Pub we were both impressed.
The Percy Arms Pub is easy to locate along Percy Street, a street and area teeming with pubs, bars and restaurants.
Opening hours are;
Monday to Thursday, 10am till 11pm.
Friday & Saturday, 10am till Midnight.
Sunday, 11am till 11pm.
A wonderful pub,if you're in the area most definitely well worth checking out.

Very Lively Pub On Percy Street.
Sep 2021 • Friends
The Percy Arms on Percy street is a superb pub that offer's an excellent range of beer and spirits and was without doubt the best pub we visited for atmosphere around this area of Newcastle.
Located in a district of the city centre that is teeming with pub's and bars'this brilliant pub was extremely lively and we just about got in here. When here we had a couple of glasses of Carling brewery lagers a really refreshing beer which was well priced and perfectly served.
This is an excellent pub to visit that is really lively and is easy to get to from Haymarket bus station or metro stop it's only a minute away.

Don’t bother going

Utterly appalling attitude from both the manager and one of the staff. Shocking customer service, and despite being a regular visitor here for many years I won’t be returning.

During corvid. They're meant to have 1 group to each table.
Some old man just came and sat with us.
He was told table one by the staff apparently.
I could see they looked over but said and did nothing.
Now this weird old guy is not moving because he's been told to sit with us.

I wouldn't recommend coming here if you value your safety, or don't want to have weirdos forced upon you.

Not rugby friendly
Feb 2020 • Couples
We popped in here whilst visiting friends from Blyth. The signage made promises of multiple screens and to show 6 nations rugby. There was only 1 small screen at the rear of the pub which was also the only place available to accommodate 4 people. The staff decided that rugby wasn’t suitable and instead put on Football scores.
Don’t ever become deceived by this pubs signage promises.
It’s only get a half decent remark due the shrine made towards Sir Bobby Robson.

Hi I would just like to explain why there was no Rock on when you visited. In December I put a sign letting all customers know that the rock night would be off until end of Feb 2020 because of cuts in the business I am sorry if you missed the poster letting everyone know. Just to keep you up to date the Rock nights will commence on Feb 29th 2020. We look forward to you returning to us on that night Regards Susan March Manager

Real shame about this once great pub
Jan 2020 • Solo
My god what a dive, I used to go to this pub in the metal days but now it’s full of want to be hard men standing at bar thinking they are gangsters, ha what a joke , the beer is rubbish & the bar staff are ignorant louts , tossing empty beer bottles in to large plastic holder making a noise that gives everyone a shock, this pub was one of the best in the toon it’s not even close now. Go elsewhere like the three bulls . Better people better beer & human bar staff.

Hi I am sorry your experience in the Percy was not to your liking I wonder if I could ask you to enlighten me as to who was serving at the time of your visit please. I will have to speak to the team members that were on shift that day so as much information as you can will help me sort this matter. If you could email me @ percyarms.Newcastle@stonegatepubs.com I will then get back to you with the meeting with my team members you describe in your email. If you could give me the approx. time as well that would be great. Regards Susan March Manager

Must write their own reviews as they can have no basis in reality. Dark and dismal and relentless music for 70's fans.

i am sorry you feel this way we do have a juke box that offers many different genre and eras of music and I am sure if you had of asked the staff they would of tried to assist you in changing the music.
