The marina is unlike many where I have been, you get the lights of the city as you are coming into Newcastle plus the beautiful view of the millennium bridge.

Another fabulous visit to Newcastle City Marina, whilst very basic pontoon it does have electric. The location is superb and great place to stay and enjoy a night in Newcastle. This morning waking up I felt like I was abroad in a European city rather...More

It's wonderful seeing the boats and yachts from high above from the bridge but more so once you're under the bridge nearer the water. The breeze, the smell of the river and the screaming seagulls, all immerse you into this wonderful scene that's hard to...More

When we visited in early August 2015 we were surprised to find that there were no boats! Apparently after enquiring we were informed that the reason it looked ,sparse with no boats, was due to the pontoons being temporarily removed for planned maintenance. They are...More

Fear not, normal service will resume at the end of the month when the marina is back up and running - it's currently out of action for repairs following an incident with a floating tree and hence why there were no boats during your visit....More

Fantastic marina right in the city centre. Very helpful staff especially Gary who is very informative and always lets us know of any events going on in the city. Just a shame other cities with rivers dont follow suit with marinas like this one.

It looks good from the bridge but when you get closer, it smells so bad so I couldn't stay for any longer. And the water looks dirty.
