Character

Dated venue but bags of character, seen lots of history and doesn't charge the exorbitant prices of the arena

One of the best place to enjoy music night and various type of entertainment as well. It was located right in the heart of Northumbria University . There are a lot of refurbishment going on at the centre at the moment will eventually add value to the centre by the rehabilitation of city pools next to the centre.

Doesn't matter what you come here to see it will have a great atmosphere. Out of everywhere in Newcastle this venue is still my favourite.

I've seen lots of people on thi stage including Micheal Ball John Barrowman and James Martin only men aloud and many more. I prefer the City Hall to the arena as at City Hall it's up close and personal

Brilliant venue for all types of music and concert goers. Accoustics are great for bands and with this being a smaller venue it has a good feel. Been here for years and long may it stay.

Watched Derren Brown here and its a great venue, we were lucky enough to be sat near the stage in the stalls. What a beautiful venue, its ornate and historic and comfortable. The evening was excellent and there is plenty of room when sat down.

We went to see the David Gest soul night the he had organised before his death. The show lasted three hours with a half hour break in the middle. There was plenty of good songs especially from the original singer from the stylistics his voice was outstanding. They where all honestly very good which made it a good night. People... More

This place is tiny compared the the big arenas we have now but the performance you see seems so much more personal. People tend to go to see the performer, not to scream and shout over everything. This is still one of the best venues in Newcastle and a lovely old building as well. The seats are a little small but the atmosphere for any event is unbeatable.
