Guided City Walking Tour of Newcastle

The tour offers more sights than some other tours of the beautiful city of Newcastle. On it you will hear about the history of the city from the Iron Age to present day, and also about some of the city's more interesting characters.

The tour is less than 4km, does include some steps, and some uneven pavement.

Please come prepared according to the weather forecast for that day.

In the event of bad weather, please contact me through the message option here on TripAdvisor to see if the tour is still going ahead. Weather cancellations will be very rare.

Very nice cinema with friendly staff. Regular seats had plenty of leg room and seems like they have some nicer seating if you spend extra. The cinema itself shows its heritage which is a plus however I think this does impact the cinema experience with a below average sceensize cinemas and very average audio compared to some modern. If you are here for the bombastic side of cinema you may be a little disappointed. However this cinema does show many smaller films and events you will struggle find at large chains. If you are looking for a more relaxed cinema experience this is a perfect place. Looking for a feast of the senses? Might be worth considering other establishments.

Over January and February we have seen 4 films and on a couple of times eaten, the menu is varied but must recommend the grilled cheese. There is one issue often commented on, and that's the ladies toilets, not enough, some not working and others in poor repair! Any hoots don't be put off.

We really enjoyed our first visit here! We sat upstairs in the circle (front row) for a subtitled film which I was slightly worried about being able to see because of the balcony. I shouldn’t have worried as it was absolutely fine and we could see the subtitles no problem in our comfy seats. In the stalls and circle you could buy some snacks / drinks / beers etc before the film. Everyone was really friendly. We booked online and received e-tickets so just skipped the queue on the way in and went straight upstairs. There’s lots of information on the walls upstairs telling you the history of the theatre which was interesting. Would definitely go back!

This place is utterly fantastic, the seats are so comfortable and they are constantly showing movies suitable for all ages. The large cinema basement has a proper vintage cinema feel, and the tiny cinema further up are more modern and just as nice. I'd recommend this movie theatre to anyone wanting a true cinema experience!
