Lovely for dog walking

Fabulous varied park close to Newcastle. Great for dog walking or picnics. There's a cafe and pets corner for families plus links to other parks with play areas

You could spend hours here looking at the natural beauty and there are some interesting ruins to see as well. Little Pets Corner is great and there's somewhere to get a drink and a snack too.

Lots of paths and scenery to explore at the heart of the city centre. Perfect for a stroll along the winding paths with our baby and buggy and equally as enthralling to use the paths as a running track, heading from the old mill area along the Ouse Burn right to the river.

Jesmond Dene Park is an excellent place to visit for families. It has recently had an expensive make-over, which has improved it a lot. It has an Pets Corner which is very child-friendly and you can walk through the Dene to South Gosforth. There is a visitor centre, which hosts events for children and adults, and a small café. It... Jesmond Dene is a beautiful place to walk, It is tranquil, relaxing to hear the sound of running water. Lots of lovely trees, shrubs and flowers to admire, and lots of birds. There are several places to sit and watch the world go by.

Better if the weather is nice but ideal for children as they have a small animal farm which is all outside. Also a play area. Jesmond Dene itself is beautiful and worth a visit. There is a lovely cafe with toilets.

This was a nice walk with a waterfall and lots of wildflowers to look at. We came with a couple of little ones, who had a nice time, too.

Jesmond Dene is a much treasured spot in an area very near to the town of Newcastle. We live in Heaton and are fortunate enough to have this on our doorstep and regularly go for walks from Heaton to Jesmond via the dene. In Jesmond Dene you can visit pets corner or the pick up an ice cream from the... More

Fascinating place to spend a day. Various playgrounds to get into and an animal corner in the lower part of the dene. Great trails which lead you throughout the dene. Good to feel outdoors especially being so close to the city hussle. Large open spaces also. Duck pond at the top of the dene. Parking isnt the best and surrounding... More
