Jesmond Dene is a wonderful resource. It is very narrow so you are always near housing but you really would not realise that, especially at the north end. We should be grateful to Lord Armstrong for putting it together and gifting it to the people of Newcastle.

Lovely place, visit again and again, gets busy at peak times but the place is lovely when less people around.

The Dene is a great place to walk, cycle or exercise the dog. The Dene never gets 'old'. There is a nice cafe and pets corner. It is popular with runners and locals

really nice place and I love taking my dog there. We also love the fact that Jesmond Dene House is right there so we can always stop by for afternoon tea or coffee. Lovely place.

The toilets in the visitors centre were in a disgusting state as they had been vandalised. The sink... More

Haven't been to the dene for about twenty years and whilst it is still a wonderful oasis in the middle of a busy built up area, it is very sad to see the state of the various buildings ( the mill and fishermans lodge etc ) within the dene, also the river really needs to be cleaned up to enable... When I was a local resident I very much enjoyed Jesmond Dene and it was very pleasant to go and walk through it last week. I should say that for tourists it's not exactly a great tourist attraction (unless perhaps you have children who need to get an airing) but it's a very pleasant green lung in the city, and... More
