Had a great time with my 4 year old at this science center. Lots to look at and touch, which is a big deal. It's smaller than I thought it was. The planetarium had a fun show about asteroids and comets. There's a very spacious kids play area upstairs that cannot be missed for the under 7s.

Visited last year, and came back again this year. Ice skating rink in the winter is great fun. Everything is rather expensive especially if you have a large family. We have kids ranging from 15yrs to 22months and this place has something for them all. Interesting displays, simulators, science activities for the older kids. On the top floor there is... More

Went to the Animals exhibition, got there early to go round when it was a little quieter. The exhibit was interesting and spent about an hour looking around. The rest of the museum does not really take that long to look around. The planetarium was alright, but the 4D thing was a bit confusing.

Took the kids to Life to see Animals Inside Out, it was a great exhibition and the whole family enjoyed it. The other attractions were also very entertaining. My only problem was the price for food etc was overpriced for what you received

I'm sorry you found the entry price a little steep. We are an educational charity and we don't receive any public funding. Other venues in the region that are able to offer free entry receive funding from local authorities. Our entry fees are a vital income stream for us, enabling us to continue providing educational science experiences. Most of our... More

We visited to see the exhibition of animals showing the inside of their bodies and giving an understanding of how different animals have different muscles etc along with explanations of how the body works. Fascinating to see having previously seen the human exhibition by the same man. lots of things to experiment with all with a fun element. When we... More
