Staff were incredibly rude , especially the lady who took track and trace information at the entrance . Also , the women at the bar who shouted at me . However , the younger member of staff were very friendly .

However , the performance was amazing !

Family of four to see The Woman in Black. Fabulous acting and good show. Front of house staff very rude and not welcoming. Younger front of house were lovely. Only 20 minute interval to get a drink and therefore not enough time to go to the toilet as well. Sadly first and last time to the Yvonne Arnaud.

Theatre is adjacent the now shuttered Debenham’s store along Millbrook. Opened in 1965, its architecture is typical of the era and now looks rather dated (Grade ll Listed in 2012). It was mid afternoon when I was passing to cross the river over to Millmead and decided to pop into the cafe located just inside the theatre main entrance for a drink and snack. The indoor seating area is light and airy but looking rather tired (there’s also outside terrace seating overlooking the River Wey). However, staff were friendly and there’s a reasonably priced light meal/snack menu.

Don’t let the humble entrance fool you - the theatre auditorium itself is spectacular and the staff couldn’t have been anymore helpful.

Had a thoroughly great night and, if I lived close by, I would visit as often as I could.

The show was good, too - but that’s personal taste that this lovely theatre shouldn’t affect 😉

Great evening at the YA for Dial M, fast paced, witty, lightly surreal and devious! Tom Chambers was excellent. We sat n the Stalls which allow more legroom than the Circle. Pleased to see water provided at the interval, not everyone wants a drink from the bar. As with every theatre, always queues for the ladies loos, and the layout of the downstairs ones is narrow and awkward

First visit for at least ten years to see "Last Temptation of Boris Johnson" which was excellent. The theatre itself looks largely untouched from when it was built (in the 60s?) but it is no worse for that. The prices are reasonable and the most of the shows appear to be actual plays rather then back to back musicals which many of the larger regional theatres (at least near us) only seem to offer. The bar service is good and reasonably priced - all in all a good experience.

Quite comfortable seating with good sightlines and the free-to-hire headsets work OK in the absence of hearing loop which would be preferable. Parking can be a nightmare if you arrive quite near performance time so it's worth thinking about the restaurant which serves a small range of attractive food at reasonable prices; the wine list is unusual and has some really nice ones on it. It's worth reserving as that seems to bring table service; if you turn up without a booking you need to fetch and carry for yourself, it seems.

I was very pleased visiting this theatre as i am a big fan of theatres. The staff were all very friendly and the show was amazing, thanks for buying tickets to see Sleeping Beauty. It was very funny and loved the adult humour.
