This NT property is beautiful inside and out. On a summer's day the grounds are stunning and full of young families having picnics. There is a useful coffee shop and ice cream stand in the grounds, making this a good place for a relaxing stop. The house has a lovely history, and is not large, but the open rooms give... More

Can't beat the staff here, proberly the best team working for the national trust. The house outside needs some care now.

Never visited here before but did so on recommendation while staying in Surrey. Had to wait for an hour to go round house as group of people on guided tour and we wanted to browse the house at leisure. Check times of guided tours before you go. We spent that time viewing the gardens. The rose gardens were beautiful. The... More

First impressions, young man on till obviously not too happy in his job. Husband and I are members, daughter we paid for. Advised man it was our first visit, no offer of advise or map. However, enjoyed our picnic in the pleasure park and our stroll around in the beautiful sunshine. Our 16 month old granddaughter loved all the space... More

A lovely well kept grounds. The views are amazing! We walked through field after field with our dog. There are signs that say sheep out or sheep in so you know when to put your dog on the lead. We walked back to the restaurant and had a pot of tea for two, my son had a Pepsi and a... More

A great National Trust property, with lovely views across the Surrey countryside. As a NT member, it's really worth a visit. The house is interesting, and the gardens are really beautiful. The tea shops are, of course, full of great cake. As we live locally, we've visited a number of times. If you're looking for something different, park at Ranmore... More

Polesden Lacey is very well presented and feels like a home. A wonderful collection of porcelain, paintings and fine furniture. The grounds are beautiful and there is a selection of great walks in the Surry countryside. England at its very best.

Have visited on several occasions and the house is truly beautiful. This time we listened to cool jazz in the south lawn, which was very relaxing. There must have been thousands of people, but plenty of room for all. They have a cafe, restaurant, various snack facilities and a well-stocked shop, as with most National Trust places.

We visited this house as we are National trust members.( it is quite pricey for non-members) A truly lovely house, and we were treated to a really informative introductory talk from a volunteer. Lots of fascinating things to see in the rooms, just a shame more rooms were not open. You do need better weather than we had to enjoy... More

We visited for a day out (somewhere we had never been before) so we chose decided to visit Polesden Lacey. We don't have a car so we walked from Bookham Station which is about 2 and a half miles away (about 45 minutes walk) uphill. But it was well worth it the views are incredible over the valley you can... More
