Steph who works in the box office/reception is amazing. I came in last week to enquire about bringing my disabled uncle to see an NTlive performance and she went above and beyond, checking her work schedule and offering to personally show us to our seats when we attended this evening to see Henry V.

The performance was shown in the cinema screen and as my uncle is disable we had tickets for row M which means we were sat in front of the projection booth. This slightly spoilt the performance as staff were in and out of the booth, making noise, in and out of the doors to adjacent to our seats, hovering in a manner that was extremely off putting, and talking on radios that could be heard over the performance.
It would help to remind staff that NT live performances don't have the same audio level as a classic cinema projection so they need to be less obtrusive and noisy otherwise it spoils the atmosphere for those sitting where we were.

Id certainly come again and bring my uncle as they were very accommodating of his needs and Steph is a credit to the Halls, but I'd appreciate it if the other staff could keep the noise down next time.

We returned to Dorking Halls today for the first time since lockdown began and it was absolutely fantastic. Every single staff member was happy and smiling, the visit was extremely covid safe, social distancing was adhered to with ample staff to guide customers. The bar area had been sorted into a number of queues to ease traffic in the lobby which was great, and our wait to be seen was approx 1 minute! The layout in the cinema was excellent too, the row in front and behind us was empty and there was no one on our row either, so we felt completely safe at all times. Thank you Dorking Halls for such a wonderful warm welcome back we will be returning very soon!

I was here tonight on my own in order to see a Christmas pantomime. The entire show was good. I simply and really loved it. If you can, try to find good seats at the back of the room if possible.

You must also buy yourself some nice cake and a drink of some sort prior to the show as well if you are thirsty or hungry. My slice of cake was sublime. There are a few friendly programme sellers in addition working during the interval of the show.

I truly do recommend this place. You can pick up a handful of useful mini leaflets on your way in or out on top of that. Book your show tickets in advance on their website or via phone. Treat yourself to a nice strong wine as part of the whole experience. I will return. Recommended for all.

Went to see William Hanson the etiquette expert. The Martineau hall he was in was intimate but comfortable and he was very charming funny and engaging. The venue is easy to get to with good parking locally. Never been there before so was pleasantly surprised and will definitely be going again as did not realise Dorking Halls had so much to offer with some well known faces putting on various shows. Big thumbs up Dorking Halls.

We’ve visited Dorking Halls several times since we’ve been in Tier 2. The staff have been extremely welcoming, friendly and cheerful. Covid measures are clearly in place, with an effective one way system, and quick table/seat service from the bar. The cinema seating is allocated well and feels safe in terms of social distancing. Similarly, the Comedy Club nights have been great, with loads of space yet a fun, environment.

This is a hugely valuable community resource and we are so lucky to have it. Thank you to all the staff for creating such a great environment.

Visited Dorking Halls in December 19 to see Aladdin panto. The cast were enthusiastic and obviously had great rapport with each other. We all laughed so much. Just the tonic we needed!
The venue was easy to get to. Reasonably priced parking nearby, which was free after 6pm and on Sundays. 10 minute walk from train station. We liked the set up of the venue too. Great sight lines for viewing stage. All the venue staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. All in all a great night out in a fab venue.

Went to see a show with friends. Nice venue, friendly and helpful staff, plenty of parking.

We had pizza and drinks before the show, nothing special but very well priced for what you get. I will be looking at their “What’s On” list regularly now as it was a very enjoyable night.

We visited to watch Swan Lake, and I popped to the toilet beforehand with a couple of friends. Out of the three of us only one had toilet paper in their cubicle, so she had to pass some down under the divider to the two of us without. I started to tell the lady at the reception desk about this but she unhelpfully cut me off and said I should go into the auditorium as they were just about to close the doors (which they weren't, they stayed open for another 5 minutes after we were seated) and we might not be allowed in. She said it was the same team looking after the toilets as the doors and they would refill the toilet roll once we were all inside. She sounded condescending as if I had asked for something totally unreasonable and I was taken aback that they hadn't ensured there was enough toilet paper beforehand. There was no way the size of audience could have used up those big rolls in the dispensers in one go, so the toilets clearly hadn't been checked before the event.
Secondly, when buying ice cream in the interval we had to buy it from the bar if paying by card. Not a problem at all with that, just shocked at the three unresponsive sullen bar staff we encountered. I approached the bar where two young men and a young woman stood behind leaning as far from the bar as possible. I was very friendly and asked if we could please buy some ice cream. They all looked at each other as if to see who was going to bother to serve us. One of the young men shuffled unwillingly towards us and stood there unsmiling. I asked what flavours there were and he told us in a bored voice. We chose our ice creams, paid by card and got no interaction at all. No smile, no thank you, no 'enjoy the performance'. Nothing. It was like he had been made to go out of his way to serve us. He and his colleagues clearly didn't want to be there.
I think some customer service training for all staff would go a long way.
Swan Lake however was amazing :)

We went as two families to watch the panto on Sunday, I have to say it was one of the funniest ones I have ever seen. The music was excellent and so were the actors and singers. It certainly one of the best family days out , a must for eveone and great value for money. Certainly better than more expensive productions

Book now to stop being disappointed Go for it Jack
