Been to Denbies on numerous occasions. Used the restaurant several times and its always good. Decided to do the wine tour one day and it was very good. Toured the vineyard on a train type vehicle which took us right to the top of the hill. This was very interesting and the view over Dorking were spectacular. Couldn't have made... More

Love going to Denbys, it's a day out on its own, Staff are really great, wines yummy, like the Rose bubbly best. Enjoy the gift shop, so much variety and don't forget to visit the farm shop, their cheeses are to die for, Sussex Charmer my definite favourite then have to stop at the Brewery on the way out to... We booked this small package which comprises an entertaining film introducing the fine estate, a fantastic tour through the production line and a very knowledgeable tour leader. The tasting offered 3 different wines: 1 sparkling wine which is produced the champagne method, 1 rose wine and 1 white wine accompanied with local produce, a piece of salmon, poultry, cheese and... Post-Christmas meal meeting up with family. The restaurant setting is pleasant enough with some nice views and the service was friendly and polite. However the bathroom is two floors down and, in my opinion, the food is average and overpriced. Four had the lamb and two couldn't finish it, it was chewy, stringy and undercooked. The happy occasion did not... More

I visited in November and that probably is the wrong time of year to visit. The harvest had been done and everything was bottled so there was nothing going on in the processing part. The tour itself (after the film) was only 10 minutes and without anything going on it was a little dull. The wine tasting wasn't great as... More

We went to the Denbies Christmas fare on a Sunday, and felt like lunch, so tried the ground floor restaurant. The food was cold and the vegetables overdone- you can't reheat cardboard potatoes and tasteless overdone mush. Even the coffee was cold. Why didn't l complain then,? l'm kicking myself. There wasn't much in alternative choices. The business is a... More

We went to a dinner dance at Denbies last night. The approach was lovely, plenty of car parking, the building was lit up and looked very impressive. We had booked a dinner Dance so most people were dressed up in evening wear, the doorman greeted guests by opening the door into a dirty porch area, he was dressed in a... More

Some of the events held here are good but - the restaurant ground floor) food is pretty mediocre and the standards of hygiene leave a lot to be desired. Gift shop was interesting the first time of visiting but the stock has remained static for years now, no real circulation of stuff, and the prices are on the high side.... More

We took our granddaughter to see Father Christmas here and were very impressed. We normally see him at a garden centre but the whole experience at denbies was so much more magical. First you have a train ride round the wine estate, make sure you wrap up warm as it has open sides. My granddaughter (4) loves this, then down... More
