About
Congo Rapids Lost World is an 18 hole jungle and dinosaur themed adventure golf course. It's Florida style theming includes a ride on a self-propelled boat to enter the course across the first water lagoon. Your journey then takes you past the scene of a plane crash and around the cannibal cooking pot. Pass through the abandoned temple and ride on a raft into the Lost World where you will be greeted by life sized dinosaurs. Play past the erupting volcano and through the giant claw before you head back into the Congo jungle. Enjoy a panoramic view of the course from the African style village while you play the closing holes

Very fun course and wasn't to busy. Had challenging holes too. Also had a nice restaurant at the golf club serving lovely coffee and breakfast! Definitely reccomend to anyone wanting a good day out!

Great hour of family fun

We enjoyed our game. Nice set up with some challenging holes. Perfect for young kids. It was reasonably quiet when we went so not too much waiting around but can imagine it could become a bit congested when busy as holes are quite close.

Visited today and my little boy was so excited. We expected it to be busy so went for lunch time assuming it would be a bit quieter. It wasn’t. Unfortunately for us there were 2 big groups a few in front. One group consisted of 9 older teenagers and in front of them a big family group. This lead to us getting backed up and a lot of waiting. It’s very small so we were pretty much huddled together whilst waiting to use the hole, sometimes even having to stand on the hole, preventing the people behind us from starting.

Now whilst we expected it to be busy and the waiting around was a tad boring (especially for a 6 year old) what annoyed me was that whilst we were on a hole waiting, we couldn’t move forward as the big group was on the next hole and there were two other families before us waiting for the next hole too, with no where to go other than to stand on the hole my son was having more than his ‘6 go’s per hole’ rule. Didn’t see the harm as we physically couldn’t move forward anymore as there simply wasn’t the room. The one member of staff on, came round and told everyone to move and not to have more than 6 goes per hole. Whilst we understand the rule when there is a huge back up of people and no where for them to go, what’s the harm when you are standing on that hole waiting for the next one?

I should add this member of staff had let both of the big groups in and whilst it does state 6 goes per hole, it does also state no more than 6 people per group and this was not being followed.

Perhaps if the one staff member had split the groups into smaller groups there maybe wouldn’t have been such a huge back log of people. This took the enjoyment out of it for us and our son as there was simply too much waiting!

Maybe have more than one member of staff on when it’s really busy?! To keep the flow of people moving.
Perhaps limit the number of people in
there at one time when it’s busy as there is not much room to social distance (fair play to most of the people who did try and keep a distance!)

Could be a good place but being over busy today, has made me think I’d probably not go back! Not for what it cost!

Decent, if not amazing
Aug 2021
Decent, not the best crazy golf but not the worse, we’ve been to, and it’s a bit pricy. Surfaces of the holes are good, apart from the tee areas which are showing wear. Holes are interesting enough, but some just have a bear/monkey painted on the floor. There’s not a massive amount of room, so when it started to back up, we found ourselves and the next group standing together.

Fun family day out

Excellent themed adventure golf course, 18 holes which are fun for all the family. There are lots of nice little touches which make the place feel like a theme park. We happily spent 2 hours here and would recommend to families with kids of all ages. Don’t miss hole 7 like we did!

Fun, fun, fun.

This is obviously designed as being of interest to children, but it is great fun, no matter what your age.
It is at the edge of the hotel car park, so easy to access.
You do need to book on-line, but can often get a reservation, at short notice.

We absolutely loved this mini golf course, it was hilarious and brilliant! What a great idea to have a self propelled raft (twice) . We had an excellent coffee in the golf cafe overlooking the beautiful golf course. The roses smelled heavenly from where I was seated. I really didn't want to leave. The gentleman on reception was most friendly and welcoming. Would love to stay at the hotel one day.
Thank you Ufford Park for a special morning, the best morning of my holiday.

Disappointing
May 2021
Went to play today with my husband and daughter looking to have an enjoyable time but unfortunately there was a kids party on. Whilst trying to play we had little people running all over the course, playing about on the rafts which stated on them "not in use due to covid restrictions", with no supervision from the parents. One parent said to me "it's a children's party". We paid nearly £25 for the game which improved after the kids party had left.
If they are going to host a kids party they either need to close it for the duration or be supervised by a member of staff.
