There are some wonderful churches in Suffolk - built with 'wool baron' money - that are wonderful to see, but this place is truly outstanding. Very rare to have a separate Lady Chapel, and this one has been used for centuries as a school, for...More

For a parish church, this is quite something. Sitting on top of the rising High Street, nth is is really imposing and handsome. Inside it is big and although not grand, it is a beautiful building. And so light.

Imposing large Norman church in beautiful well kept grounds. The stained glass windows and vaulted roof must be seen.

Even as an atheist this is a supremely beautiful building and unusually light inside because of the gallery of windows below the roof. The stained glass is beautiful too. Well worth a walk out of the centre of the village to view it.

Long it is, possibly the longest village church in England. Unfortunately, the Lady Chapel making it so, was not accessible. Impressive alabaster bas-relief from 1350, pulpit and reredos.
