I always enjoy my trips to this cinema as the atmosphere is intimate and the seats are so comfortable. The staff are helpful and friendly. If I eat there, the food is always delicious. There is something delightfully old-fashioned about this cinema and I never feel uncomfortable if I go there alone. As well as the usual films, they often... More

Very comfortable, spacious, allow you to take a drink (coffee, wine, soft drink) in to cinema. Very comortable seats including some sofa style, extra leg room.....overall a great experience.

If you want to watch a film in civilised surroundings with friendly staff who want to help you, then this is for you. It's where you take your bottle of wine in with you to the film and drink from glasses. The other guests are courteous and polite; and should you want a meal before or after the film then... More

Although they may not show all the new films! You can't beat being in their! I love the way that they make everything comfy by adding pillows and sofas. Best cinema around!

Friendly staff, seats lovely spacious and comfortable and clean. The meals are very good and not too expensive. My grandson loves to sit in one of the settees. Often repeat really old memorable films and other interesting and different entertainments.

We have a joint year long membership with this cinema that gives you 3 free films each, thereafter discounted cinema tickets. The establishment also has a small eating place, once again if you are a member you get 10 % discount. We have never managed to pre-book the free films online, not a user friendly website, this heard from others... More

This lovely cinema makes for a perfect night out. Why suffer buckets of smelly popcorn, vats of fizzy pop and cheap rubbish sweets when you can enjoy the classy up-market comfort of this cinema? Great food, lovely people and excellent films.

The oldest cinema in Bury, reinvented with comfortable seats (including some sofas), an interesting choice of films, and a great cafe cum restaurant cum bar. It is run by really friendly people and a huge improvement over multiplexes. Always my first choice of places to see films in Bury.

This is the first option for us when we want to watch a film. The food menu is quite varied, ranging from burgers to Vietnamese dishes. Everything is so tasty. The staff are great and very friendly and the best bits are that the seats are recliners and you can enjoy a glass of wine (or whatever you fancy) whilst... More

Hello there, You paint such a lovely picture of the cinema and our No.4 restaurant, I'm not sure I could have written it better myself. Thank you so much for taking the time to do such a great review. You've hit the nail on the head of all those things we really go for here at Abbeygate and No.4 so... More

Been many times to watch films but this was the first time eating before going into watch a film. The menu is exactly what is required, nothing overtly fancy, however its well laid out offering good (and healthy) eating. Had the Korean rice dish with chicken breast as an extra, excellent quality and obviously made with fresh ingredients. Service was... More
