Attended with a birthday party - kids loved it!
Sep 2019
Brought my 2 children aged 6 and 10 as part of a larger birthday party and they loved it. the walls seem more challenging on the whole compared to clip and climb - but kids were soon scaling them. also the leap of faith is free here and the kids must have had 5 jumps each.. this alone put it light years ahead of clip and climb.

staff have to clip your children on and off the walls so there can be a short wait but seconds only. staff were attentive and encouraging and ginger haired man with glasses was even very nice when he had to tell my 2 children not to push off the wall when descending. they didn't feel sad they took it on board.

you can enter the climbing arena and must wear a high-vis jacket to do so.

refreshments are via a typically overpriced vending machine.
the drop slide wasn't functional when we were there - and this didn't really impact us.

all in all there were about 15 of us which was about right for the number of staff. i think if there were 24 kids there would be chaos as there isn't much seating for spectators. and the staff really would have their work cut out for them clipping kids on and off.

I took my granddaughter 9 and her friend 11 today for a climbing session and they loved it. The staff were all very attentive and seemed to take safety seriously. The climbs were challenging but enjoyable. Good for confidence building.

A Birthday To Remember
Nov 2018 • Family
We had approx 20 children using the facility on an exclusive basis on Sunday - it was great from start to finish! There was so much to do that nobody had to wait for a turn - the kids ranged from 5 - 17 and they all enjoyed it.

The lady with the blonde bob - instructor - was amazing, her control was great and the kids really paid attention to the H&S aspect. Fab!

I would say that the reception staff tell people to arrive way too early, we were told to arrive 40 minutes before our session, when in fact 15 would have been more appropriate. I had kids metaphorically 'climbing the walls' before they were allowed to climb the walls!

Finally, the food while plentiful, was a bit disappointing. The sandwiches were very dry and the cupcakes were an embarrassment...they looked like something the kids had baked themselves and then iced them with their eyes shut. This didn't detract from the fun of the day and we would definitely return!

Climbing wall and pillars
Oct 2018
Friendly and helpful staff. Best when not too booked up for a session. The only downside is the lack of drinks and food/snacks during certain time and days of the week. Not many tables to sit for onlookers/those not taking place. Would recommend wearing the recommended appropriate clothes including knee length shorts not skirts or short shorts as the harness digs into bottom and rides the clothes further up. Not a pretty sight for viewers!

Birthday party
Jul 2018 • Family
My granddaughter wanted her 7th birthday party at go climb at the Billingham forum as she had been to a party there previously and loves it.
I booked it via email 3 month in advance and was helped really well by Charlotte.
You could either book a session based on individual numbers or book the whole session exclusively for £160.00; I chose the latter. I then booked a hot buffet for 14 through the forum catering team; again this was easy and Aimee was a big help even when we had a couple of unexpected additions on the day.
The invites clearly asks the kids to arrive 30 mins before the session starts to receive instruction and get kitted up. The staff in charge were efficient and were very good at making the kids listen to the H&S aspects of the event.
Then it was all fun on some very scary looking climbs!!! It is a great way to build kids confidence in a fun environment, something a little different; every kid thoroughly enjoyed themselves.
After the session food was served in a party room and again everything went to plan and the food was well received and at £4.95 a head decent value.
All in all a very good venue for a 7th birthday!!!

Great facility and brilliant staff.

Had a fabulous visit today. Only my two children (8 & 6) in the session so they had all the staff and all the walls to themselves. Nothing was to much trouble for the staff and it was great to see them encouraging the children to succeed on every wall .

Great Rainy Day Activity
Mar 2018 • Family
I'd read a lot of the reviews in advance of booking this experience. There have been some very helpful reviews, so took into consideration the advice, i.e. arrive early, use the lockers, go to the loo etc.

It was a great experience for both us adults and the children. The staff whilst on the equipment were attentive and engaging; they helped and advised the whole family.

There were a couple of walls out of action, and the drop slide (can't remember the actual name) were out of order so a bit disappointing, but on the whole everything else was great.

I didn't give it the full 5*, two reasons, the unavailable equipment and on arrival I really expected the staff to be a bit more welcoming and inclusive. One sat in the breifing room drinking pop with a thunderous looking face, the other, a girl, walked past all of us, climbed a wall and didn't even acknowledge the waiting group ... yet when we were all harnessed up and on the equipment they were super.

I'd certainly recommend it to all ages for a rainy afternoon bit of exercise.

Many thanks for your constructive comments regarding your recent Go Climb Experience, Firstly I would like to apologise for the time taken for the equipment to be repaired I can confirm that all equipment is now in full working order. It is unacceptable that staff have been using the briefing room for refreshment breaks this will be addressed immediately. Interaction is an important part of the experience in Go Climb and I will ensure that this is reiterated to all staff concerned, we do have regular training briefs and these areas raised by yourself will be again raised with all staff who attend. I would like to thank you for taking the time to raise these comments and do hope that on your next visit is much improved.

Left Disappointed
Apr 2018 • Family
Very disappointed that we travelled all the way through to Billingham so my Son could try something new (drop slide) only to find this and 2 other walls which he really wanted to use closed!! And no notification on the website/Facebook to say so before booking!! Only 2 members of staff on the floor between 20 or so kids (1 of which was stuck between the leap of faith and the poles for the duration) which meant the waiting time between getting hooked onto and off the walls was along time; so we spent alot of time standing around. Really feel any accompanying adults should be allowed to clip their children on and off the walls or more staff should be present when its a full group. Left feeling disappointed.

My children (aged 6 & 8) really enjoyed it. Plus no extra payments for leap of faith and plunge slide unlike similar venues.
