My wife and I took our kids aged 17,16,15 and 12 to this facility and what a fantastic afternoon was had by all!
The staff were professional in their adherence to COVID restrictions as well as giving excellent health and safety instructions.
The safety harnesses were very robust yet comfortable, and individually fitted and secured by the staff.
The climbing apparatus itself is incredibly strong, well designed, substantial in layout and ingenious. Once the toggle at the end of your safety cord is clipped into its slot - you can go anywhere on all levels with 100% confidence that even if you lose your footing the worst outcome will be briefly being suspended.
I’m not brilliant with heights, but by the end of the session I was on the highest level tackling the trickiest crossing points.
Typing this the day after I can feel slight stiffness in my arms, hands and legs - but most of this was caused by ‘over gripping’ and over tensing when looking down at the ground many feet below. But this is a natural reaction and was far outweighed by the adrenaline buzz caused by challenging myself to the many crossing points which varied in difficulty.
The size of the frame and ability negotiate around people means you can suit a path to suit your own ability and there’s to pressure to push yourself any harder than you want to.
As stated we all had a brilliant time and were also rewarded with great views across the River Tees and of the Cleveland Hills.
The venue was easy to find being just off the A66. Ample parking including disabled bays. There were also toilets and vending machines on site as well as lockers which take 50p pieces. You need to bear in mind that your pockets have to be totally empty when on the apparatus and yes this includes phones too - so no photos unless you have a friend/relative on the ground. Obviously if you’re on the top level and drop something it could cause serious harm to people 60 feet below you, so the empty pockets rule is understandable.
After you’ve finished you’re only a 5 minute drive from Teesside Park should you need fuel, food, shopping, takeaway etc.

Went to watch our son and grandson, grandson was very nervous and we thought he would have to get off but a lovely man called Dan took him under his wing and helped him gain his confidence. Dan was really patient and all through our visit he kept a watch full eye and appeared just when needed ! By the end of the hour our grandson was going on the death slide by himself !! Looking forward to next visit..... Thank you Dan !!

Absolutely loved our air trail experience. We are a group of forty somethings and had an absolute blast. Once we conquered the nerves.
The staff were very friendly and encouraging. It’s priced well, and as you have a time slot and they have a limit on amount of people per session it means you’re not standing around waiting for others to move along.
Overall a great experience and not just for kids.
Would definitely return.

I wish I could give this activity and the staff more than 5*. It was perfect for my 8 and 6 year old with them being able to reach the highest level. One staff member in particular (I didn't get his name but he has short blonde hair and led the safety briefing) was extremely helpful and, one more than one occasion, made a point of coming over to reassure our little ones.

If you are looking for a challenge that will leave everyone buzzing at at the end, this is perfect. Thanks again for a great experience.

Booked for my two young grandsons and their aunt who all love the Air Trail. Sadly the elder boy injured his hand two days prior to our booking, needed hospital treatment and was unable to take part. The young attendant spoke to the manager and said we would get a refund via the card we had used to pay. By the time we got home the refund had been processed. Excellent service and the boys can't wait to have their next visit.

Booked last year for my grandaughters 10th birthday for 30 children, it was absolutely great...sadly I tried to book again for this year too, but after ringing at least half a dozen times, and speaking to different people, did not actually manage to book it, as there was so much conflicting information. Really need to sort this part out.

It was a good activity to do but more time is needed to build up confidence in first timers.
My grandsons who are 6 & 8 weren’t very confident and as there was only one male instructor up there I personally felt there wasn’t enough support.
Two female instructors stayed on the ground chatting to each other, quite oblivious to possible problems above them and leaving this to one instructor who was lovely and very helpful, but couldn’t deal with many problems as it was quite busy.
My grandsons were basically left to their own devices and didn’t get full instruction whilst up there and also didn’t get the full enjoyment from it as they needed to be helped more around the track.

Consequently they were left feeling that they didn’t enjoy it and we had built them up as a surprise but felt underwhelmed by the experience so weren’t t keen on going back.
There wasn’t any kayaking on that day so this was second choice.
But we still thought they could have got more from the experience, had the female instructors been more engaged in what was going in above them instead if both staying on the ground chatting.

Visited here this morning with a friend and her son and booked the 10.30am slot yesterday.
There was ample free parking and the weather was actually sunny.
Staff were very professional and helpful and gave a safety briefing before we started.
Harnesses were secured and we were self sufficient due to the ingenious design of the rails.
Must admit, I was a little apprehensive at first which I'm blaming my age on but sooner got the hang of it!
We had an hour on the trail which perfect - the fact not many people were there meant we had full use of it.
I'd highly recommend this activity to people of all ages.

Today was our 1st visit. I booked in our 19, 15 & 10yr old in for an afternoon climb. Their covid safety measures were excellent and the place was clean and tidy. The staff were helpful before my trip(through messenger) and great during the session. Our 3 climbers had a great time and we enjoyed watching from below.

I came today with the three children I nanny for and the youngest was quite nervous and instantly one of the members of staff came over, Tom, he noticed she was scared and reassured her thoroughly. I wouldn’t have been able to do it without him, he made the experience so much more enjoyable for me and all three of the kids, she was flying through it by the end that that wouldn’t have happened if Tom didn’t stick by her all the way around. They are already saying they want to go back but only if Tom is working!🤣 Thankyou so much again Tom!!
