About
Wild Animal Adventures is an attraction added to an existing large pet store in Teesside... we show many animals that some people will probably never even heard of. Open 7 days a week and very reasonably priced, we are an all weather attraction with a hands-on experience with some of the animals being available. The whole experience has been designed to surprise...!

Very impressed can’t wait to return

I wanted to do something different with the kids and as the weather wasn’t nice enough to be outside we decided to visit here.
I was not expecting anything spectacular but we had a great time.
Easy to find, parking at the location and reasonably priced.
The staff were all very friendly and warm, they made lots of effort and told us about the animals. You could tell they enjoy they job!!
A great range of animals, my 6 and 10 year old both enjoyed the experience.
We will definitely be returning and would recommend it to others.

Only bad points was that I was trying to search on the internet for prices/information but the webpage was not working and there were a few empty animal enclosures.

Overall very impressed, can’t wait to go again!

Reasonably priced animal experience hidden in the back of a petshop.
There was a good variety of animals ranging from reptiles to farm animals to pets. Food available to buy to feed some of the animals.
Small petting section, including snakes, tortoises, bearded dragons, guinea pigs etc.
Knowledgeable, helpful staff.

Hands-on experience
Sep 2018 • Family
Recently visited with some of my grandchildren. Looks like a pet shop but encompasses a small domesticated zoo area, yes there's a charge, but worth the cost. Various reptiles and small animals which fascinated the children, letting area to handle hamsters, lizards, even snakes. Grandchildren loved them.

You wouldn’t know this was here if you didn’t get told. I didn’t think it was gonna be worth the price but it’s like the tardis inside. So many animals you don’t get to see never mind hold. Staff friendly and knowledgeable. Very hands on. My five year old daughter loved it and me and hubby were like big kids. My daughter now wants a party here. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely little attraction

Great for kids. Ample parking. Animals appear to be well looked after and happy.

My only criticism is that you can get around it pretty fast. It is excellent value for money though.

We visited the Wild Animal Adventures on our way to 4 Days Holiday in Durham. The Boys enjoyed the Petting Section and overall Site was ok if a little cramped.

Visited many times and always enjoy it. The handling area is great and I very much enjoyed cuddling the baby piglet.

Disappointing
Jan 2018 • Family
Bit disappointing really. The enclosures were tiny for the size of animals outside! Seemed so sad. It was relatively quiet and my kids were looking forward to holding some little animals at the work benches at end. They sat and waited patiently. I stood with them. The 2 workers sat with others and seem to u ignore my girls. Then when a mum and child entered room and sat down they were seen to straight away!!! Very annoyed. Come on be a bit more alert of who's waiting to keep it all fair. Probably won't return.
