I go here once a week on an organised walk,, for the past 8 months, it is so nice, lots of birds a few squirrels, The cafe is nice but the owner can be a bit moody take no notice of her as the food is good. The park gets very very busy at weekends and school hols it can get busy with mamas and toddlers at other times. The lake is well stocked with ducks of all kinds and swans, you can buy seed to feed them with from the cafe.

On the edge of the park on the corner of marlborough road is a nother cafe they are always nice.

Myself, my wife & my young granddaughter visited Ropner Park for an early Sunday morning walk.
You forget what a lovely park it is; very clean and well kept with lovely flowers, trees & shrubs.
Plenty of benches to sit and watch the world go by.
The lake is lovely, full of interesting birds & geese.
The Granddaughter loves the play area.
The cafe sells lovely little snacks and hot & cold drinks.
A truly lovely place to spend a few hours.

We have driven passed this park many ties over the years, not knowing a thing about it until yesterday.
we took our grandson there for a couple of hours play time and we were surprised as to how nice it was.
there a nice cafe selling decent food and ices etc, o lovely play area for the kids and a great pond to feed the ducks.
excellently laid out gardens with a beautiful floral display.
now that we've found this gem on our doorstep, we will visit more often.
parking could be a problem on busy days but that's the only negative part of it

Ropner park in my childhood days was a place to play hide and seek. Then later on was a great place to feed the ducks and enjoy a Sunday afternoon out with the family. Many an Easter Sunday we roll our Easter eggs, hard boiled, down a selected bank.
Later on again with lots of school friends we would play cricket on many a school free afternoon.
After getting married those same events carried on.
Now being a bit older I see much the same things being done as when I was a child.
I can only hope that Ropner Park continues being used for more generations to come.
The Friends of Ropner Park are to be congratulated for a fine job they have made of a real gem in Stockton on Tees.

This was my first visit to this park as it recommended to me but won't be my last. It was a nice size to walk around. The park was spotless of litter as there was at least 2 council workers walking round picking up litter. The flower beds were amazing. Lots of dog walkers but no dog dirt anywhere. Definitely recommend - if I had to choose 1 thing that disappointed me was the lack of anywhere to tie up the dog when using the toilets. There was bowls of water for the dogs but signs on the toilet doors that dogs were not allowed inside, which is fine, but there was no where and I mean literally no where to tie the dog up while you used the toilet, which amazed me as Stockton Borough Council have dog tieing up facilities at its other parks.

I have visited park on a number of occasions it's a lovely park with a nice walk and cafe. There is also a duck pond where you can feed the ducks. The problem is dogs are not supposed to be off leash. Irresponsible dog owners have dogs off leash . Not once but twice other dogs were off leash and ran over to attack my dog. I won't recommend this park due to this.

Took my mother on Saturday. This park is very wheelchair friendly. Very well looked after. Beautiful flowers and trees and plenty of birds. Nice café, play area, tennis courts and bowling green. Something to do and see for all ages. Will be returning more times in the future.

Ropner Park is a great space in town. There is some kind of bowling club but the rest of the park is open to everyone. There are some super cycle paths and walkways with space for dogs to enjoy exercise. There are lovely established shrubs and trees with beautiful formal flower beds, stunning topiary work and lovely lawns. Most people enjoy wandering around the duck pond. Duck food is available from the cafe. There are clean public toilets in the park. The cafe is small but pleasant, serving a range of light meals, snacks and drinks. I believe it is possible to book afternoon teas or Sunday dinners there but we haven't tried them. The children's play area has a nautical theme with well-maintained equipment that is fun to play on. There are a couple of tennis courts and a bandstand. Throughout the year there are several special events such as garden parties and Harvest Fair that are arranged by an active friends group. Ropner Park is a clean, well looked after public space and we visit often.
