My husband and I have now done 2 of Victorias worhsop-piglet and Reindeer and can highly recommend
All info sent via email beforehand including best way to approach as the venue is very rural. That adds to the day as if it's warm there are seating areas outside.
Bring your own packed lunch as no shops nearby but hot drinks freely available.
It's a long fun day

This was my second visit to The Willow Barn and this time I brought a friend who had never attempted willow weaving before. We had signed up to a Christmas crafts workshop and expected to make things such as willow angels, trees, spheres and stars.

The workshops are held in a portacabin that is absolutely perfect for the job. Victoria has decorated it and it feels warm and homely, with leather sofas and a coffee table where we ate our packed lunches, and big work tables with plenty of room for everyone.

We were actually able to make lots of things, including dragonflies, which we were amazed at. Victoria is a skillful and patient tutor and we had plenty of laughs along the way.

A great day and one that I would highly recommend either to try something new, or for a present for yourself or someone else. Great value at £55 for a full day's workshop which includes plenty of hot or cold drinks, mince pies or similar and everything you need to make and decorate your creations.

I went on a willow piglet workshop. It started at 10am and finished just before 4pm. Everything was provided except for lunch. Tea and coffee are supplied too.
I'd recommend anyone to try a workshop with Victoria at the Willow Barn. It's much easier to get to buy car but it is possible to use public transport if you don't mind a walk for the final bit.

Victoria explains everything well and takes students through the step by step process of making their piece. All of my group enjoyed the workshop and our piglets were all quite cute and were easily recognisable. Victoria is in the process of getting electricity circuits up and running in her new prefab workshop, which is a great space.

A great opportunity ☺ I'd recommend that wheelchair users contact Victoria first so she can work out logistics of access, but don't let that put you off!

I booked myself and my husband onto a willow weaving course at the Willow Barn for our fifth wedding anniversary, and we had a genuinely excellent time.

Victoria was fantastic. As we were unable to make it to any of her existing workshop dates, she very kindly arranged for an alternative session for us. During the session she fully explained everything to us, and remained very patient with us when we found it challenging! Neither myself nor my husband are particularly ‘crafty’, but through Victoria’s instruction and the wonderfully relaxed environment, we were so pleased with our finished sculptures!

Tea, coffee and cakes were aplenty, with indoor and outdoor seating to eat our packed lunch. Victoria also provided loads of useful information well in advance of our visit to help us find the venue and to know what to expect.

We had such a wonderful time, and we are already looking forward to signing up for another course in the near future!

Myself and 7 other friends did a chicken/ duck/pheasant workshop and really loved it. Victoria is a very patient and accommodating teacher and we were all so relaxed whilst making our creations. We all loved it and would definitely do it again! Highly recommend the workshop. *****
