Monkey Forest is completely unique to the UK. It is the only place that you can walk amongst 140 Barbary macaques roaming free in 60 acres of beautiful English Forest. Walking in the park transports you into a different world through close contact with the monkeys.

Wonderful place, you walk in via a double door gated entrance. You instantly get the feeling of being watched. Tree lined pathways take you towards the monkeys. We were greeted almost immediately by a venerable old lady sat on a mound of grass, contentedly picking leafs from the grass. The first of many staff also greeted us and gave us... More

We decided to mix things up a bit and go to Monkey World. It is a 60 acre woodland area housing 140 Barbary Macaques monkeys. The area is protected by a big tall metal fence and has a walk way around the site, approximately 3/4 mile long which is wheelchair friendly. The monkeys are all free roaming however, the staff... Thank you for leaving a review for Monkey Forest. The 140 monkeys are free roaming, and unfazed by the admiring public. It sounds like you had a wonderful time observing the monkeys which is brilliant! Thank you for your comments, we hope to welcome you back again. More

We had the most fantastic time here. Was so good to be able to see the Monkeys enjoying life, without being in cages. Here they have many acres to roam, but despite that, there are basically 2 groups of monkeys, which don't mix, 1 at the bottom end of the park and the other at the top end. While we... More

Took my 13 mnth old who absolutely loved it there. I would recommend going on a guaranteed nice day. Wear good trainers due to slopes and hills. Doesn't take a great deal of time to get round. Deffo take own food. Two jacket potatoes and 2 bottles of pop cost £15 and the potatoes were not cooked to perfection. We... More

We had a lovely day out here, the whole place is fantastic. The gift shop was super expensive but thats kind of expected, we didnt eat at the cafe as we took a packed lunch and sat on the grass. But it was a great day out and we had lots of fun.

I had a fantastic day at Monkey Forest, I was very impressed with the area the monkeys had to roam around in, they all looked content and were an absolute pleasure to observe. The staff on site were very knowledgeable about all the monkeys. We had a fab day (no children on our group too) & I would happily go... More
