Friendly welcome, lovely room, got a cozy homely feel to it. Good parking availability. Very quiet. Food was lovely, we had mushroom for starter and steak dinner which was cooked to perfection, hardly any fat on it. There was a guy playing a guitar and singing called jack Woodward and he was AMAZING! Really made the night. Great songs from... More

Can't thank the staff enough. We booked to eat after the fireworks display at Alton towers & due to the large amount of traffic we were late for our booking. The pub kept our table waiting for us & told us not to worry. The pub was lovely & welcoming with a fire roaring for our chilled, wet bones. We... More

We recently decided to visit Alton towers scarefest and to save a long drive we booked to stay over and I simply cannot recommend this place enough, when we checked in we were met by the manager who took us to our beautiful cozy room, the bed was super comfy and the room was immaculate, we also had a fantastic... After a horrific meal at the Crooked Spoon restaurant at Alton Towers we checked trip advisor to find an alternative on our last night's stay. We decided on the Bills Head and we were not disappointed. Steak and a pint for £10 every Wednesday, good home cooked kids meals along with swift service and a warm welcome. Very good value,... Family trip to Alton towers, decided to stay in the local village at the bulls head, booked 3 rooms, all next to each other, 4,5&6. Friendly welcome and very helpful when we arrived, rooms were very clean and well equipped, ate at the pub on the evening, amazing food and excellent value, breakfast was just as good. Overall a very... More

Excellent beer and food, didn't make a booking, but would suggest you do, we will next time. We were staying at a local B&B (The Chained Oak) the information pack listed eateries in the Village of Alton so we decided to walk into the town, for an evening meal. Needles to say, very busy place (good sign) asked for a... More

Just arrived at the Bulls head for an evening stay after a visit to Alton Towers Splash Landings. Can't recommend the food enough! Following a two night stay at a four star hotel in Chester, this by far beat it hands down.

Had a lovely evening. Staff very friendly in a cosy, warm and welcoming country pub. Boyfriend loved his steak, as you can see by the title. Both Martha and Danii were very accomodating and couldn't do more to help. Highly recommend.

Fab food, Lovely staff and really accommodating. The menu is to die for. We ate here 2 nights on the trot. Our party consisted of 3 adults, 2 teens and a 10 year old.

Myself & my two young sons stayed at the The Bulls Head Inn the night before our trip to Alton Towers. We had a great, spacious family room which was perfect for us. I was advised about the play area/football field within 5 mins walking distance. We ate at the restaurant in the evening. I had the homemade curry which... More
