This was my first visit to the Britannia Stadium, it is a modern stadium with all the usual amenities. There are good views of the pitch from all areas. I had to give it 5 stars as a Shrewsbury Town fan it was one of...More

Decent enough stadium, good views, catering fine. Always a cold place for some reason. Cabbies rip you off getting there by charging the same price per head as the bus (providing that’s more than would be on the meter!). Bus back to station ok for...More

I have been to the Britannia on several occasions and there is a common theme - it is always windy and cold because of the open corners! Apart from that it is a good, modern stadium with good facilities and a lovely playing surface. The...More

I Love going to the Brittania Stadium, I work in a college for young adults with learning disabilities. The Britannia often puts on events for the young people. It is a great building, with many function rooms of various sizes. Very nice staff, very helpful...More

How far away is city centre from Holiday Inn Express?? (1 Replies)
Hi. I'm stopping at the Holiday Inn Express next to the Britannia Stadium in a few weeks time. How far away is it from the city centre? I assume it will have to be a taxi ride. Also, could anyone recommend a nice restaurant in the city centre. An Italian would be preferred but I'm not too fussed either way. Thanks in advance Wookie,

Hi there, I assume by the city centre you mean hanley? Your trip into hanley is about 2 miles and a taxi ride is your best bet, There are numerous restaurants to chose from in hanley but the italian of my choice would be Robertos on pall mall opposite jumping jacks night club,we have used it for nearly 20 years, enjoy your stay, Darren

Should be able to walk from Britannia Stadium back to Stoke Station in that time . Probably best walking anyway as I should imagine the roads in the area will be congested after the match . By town centre, do you mean Hanley ?(which I would say is about 20 mins walk from Stoke Station Max , used to walk that as a kid) . Stoke town centre is only a couple of minutes from Station.
