I visited Longton Park before a trip to Longton market and shops with my mum. The park has lots going on, loads of walking & the views and lakes are beautiful. The little café at the centre of the park is a gem. We enjoyed a coffee and tea cake there for a very reasonable price

We are doing a little tour of The Potteries parks on our bikes and we headed for Longton and we were blown away how beautiful it is you can tell that the council have kept the upkeep of it unlike other parks we've been too. I couldn't believe how big it was and there were lots of people enjoying the sun and beauty of nature. Some interesting old objects in the park dating back to when the park was built I'm guessing this just adds charm to it for me. We will defiantly be taking a return trip back on our bikes very soon.

I recently visited the new cafe that has opened in Longton Park and was very impressed. I am surprised that this has not been advertised more as they are doing a great job. I had a full English breakfast for £3 so prices are great too. Lovely place to just sit and enjoy a coffee also.

We come to longton Park often with young children. We used the tea room for the first time. We ordered food and they forgot our order, they check with us what we had ordered and when back into the kitchen. They brought out one of the 3 meals we ordered. After waiting another 30 minutes we checked again. To be told they had not done our order and had forgotten again. The food was nice once received. The building is a middle small for busy periods. Dogs are welcome which is lovely. The cups and saucers were not very clean. Hopefully next time will be a little better. The park is lovely and the staff are nice in the cafe.

Lovely park. Wheelchair accessible. Super little cafe. The park is well kept. It has a children's playground. There are two small lakes with accessible paths. There are lots of friendly squirrels that come and beg for monkey nuts from you( you have to take them with you.) The cafe again is accessible and dog friendly. The food is very good and cheap.

Longton Park is a great afternoon out for children and adults. It has big lake in which you can feed the ducks. A small upgraded playground for kids. Worth an afternoon out espically if the suns out.

Longton park has always been a favourite of mine, it is nicely laid out. The ducks and swans on the lake are relaxing to sit and watch on the benches around the lake. Childrens play area is ok. You may occasionally see the odd rat or two scurrying about. The squirrels are very friendly and will come up to you and take food out of your hand. The only thing that spoils this park is the selfish few who engage in anti-social behaviour ie taking drugs, drinking, leaving mess around and vandalism.

Lovely park but the paths need redoing along with possibly giving the pond a clean there was quite a few crisp packets and unsanitary items floating around the edge. x

I grew up in nearby Blurton as a child and Longton Park was somewhere we visited at least twice a week and more during school holidays. I still visit now with my own children and they absolutely love it. They always take a bag of monkey nuts and the grey squirrels come and take the nuts out of their hands much to the children's delight. I wander round looking where everything used to be the old playgrounds, the monkey house as we called it, the boatyard, the old cafe etc. etc. It's changed over the years like most places do but for me it has never lost it's charm or appeal and I'm as happy today as I was as a child to visit Longton Park. I hope my children carry on the tradition as it is a place where I can go to get away from the stresses of life being self employed I can relax and clear my head whilst taking it it's natural beauty. I still know where every conker tree (horse chestnut) is in the park as we used to raid them as kids. Love this place and will never tire of visiting it. Just wish though that some people would pick up their dogs mess after them!
