We come to longton Park often with young children. We used the tea room for the first time. We ordered food and they forgot our order, they check with us what we had ordered and when back into the kitchen. They brought out one of the 3 meals we ordered. After waiting another 30 minutes we checked again. To be told they had not done our order and had forgotten again. The food was nice once received. The building is a middle small for busy periods. Dogs are welcome which is lovely. The cups and saucers were not very clean. Hopefully next time will be a little better. The park is lovely and the staff are nice in the cafe.

I grew up a stone's throw from Longton Park now live elsewhere. I used to fish in the lakes in the 1950's. Was very upset 20 years ago when I visited with the family to see how run down it had become. But now, April 2024, it looks fantastic again and back to it's former splendour.

Lovely park. Wheelchair accessible. Super little cafe. The park is well kept. It has a children's playground. There are two small lakes with accessible paths. There are lots of friendly squirrels that come and beg for monkey nuts from you( you have to take them with you.) The cafe again is accessible and dog friendly. The food is very good and cheap.

We really enjoyed our visit which was nostalgic. It’s a park I had visited frequently growing up. The paths made access easy and there was lots to see - ducks, geese, herons, trees and shrubs. Café and staff - delightful.

Longton Park is a great afternoon out for children and adults. It has big lake in which you can feed the ducks. A small upgraded playground for kids. Worth an afternoon out espically if the suns out.

Longton park has always been a favourite of mine, it is nicely laid out. The ducks and swans on the lake are relaxing to sit and watch on the benches around the lake. Childrens play area is ok. You may occasionally see the odd rat or two scurrying about. The squirrels are very friendly and will come up to you and take food out of your hand. The only thing that spoils this park is the selfish few who engage in anti-social behaviour ie taking drugs, drinking, leaving mess around and vandalism.

Lovely park but the paths need redoing along with possibly giving the pond a clean there was quite a few crisp packets and unsanitary items floating around the edge. x

I grew up in nearby Blurton as a child and Longton Park was somewhere we visited at least twice a week and more during school holidays. I still visit now with my own children and they absolutely love it. They always take a bag of monkey nuts and the grey squirrels come and take the nuts out of their hands much to the children's delight. I wander round looking where everything used to be the old playgrounds, the monkey house as we called it, the boatyard, the old cafe etc. etc. It's changed over the years like most places do but for me it has never lost it's charm or appeal and I'm as happy today as I was as a child to visit Longton Park. I hope my children carry on the tradition as it is a place where I can go to get away from the stresses of life being self employed I can relax and clear my head whilst taking it it's natural beauty. I still know where every conker tree (horse chestnut) is in the park as we used to raid them as kids. Love this place and will never tire of visiting it. Just wish though that some people would pick up their dogs mess after them!
