I have seen all manner of animal places this year, big and small. Gentleshaw is a tiny little rescue centre in Staffordshire and is quite charming. Most of the animals are rescued, and the centre is dependent on the income and donations from visitors to continue their sterling work. Costing a mere £4 for adult entry, it is hardly bank-breaking... More

I took the children for a visit and we all enjoyed it. The staff (who I believe are all volunteers) were friendly and approachable. We watched them feeding and cleaning out some of the animals and they seemed caring and knowledgeable. We are looking forward to visiting again soon and are looking to give support in various ways as they... More

Loved it we had kid from 5 to 15 and we all enjoyed it. Very dedicated staff and very friendly and helpful. We had a picnic on the park area. Everything is in close proximity to the car park so we didn't have to lug the picnic bags around with us. Will go again

It takes in injured birds and animals, takes them though recover then I am not actually sure. What a wonderful collection - so very well cared for too! The scale is much smaller than a... More

Brilliant place to take young children. Our kids loved the animal rescue area with the displays as well as the train. All staff very helpful and polite. Will definitely be back.

This gem of an animal sanctuary is so worth a visit, or 2 or 3! Good parking. Cheap as chips to enter. £4-00. Give more if you can afford too please. Animals are so loved and well looked after. New and improved enclosures being built when funds allow. Fantastic new exercise/flying area for the raptors. Those little marmosets continue to... More

great find on Groupon. we all enjoyed seeing the wide variety of animals and what makes it a really unique and nice place is knowing all the animals have been rescued or no longer wanted by their owners and now have such good homes. it is a great place and the staff all friendly and take great care with the... You go through Fletchers garden centre and come to the small play area which has seating for picnics, great for young children.Adjacent to this is a miniature railway, small extra charge, and a crazy golf course where you can hire the putters from the garden centre. The animal sanctuary is adjacent and has a selection of birds of prey and a...
