    Outstanding experience
My friend & I went up see Blood Brothers yesterday, it was amazing. I have seen it before in Birmingham but this far surpassed that. All the actors were fantastic & I did not want it to end. The Garrick is a lovely theatre & they have such a wide variety of events, I will be booking for the pantomime soon. The only thing I would not have again is a balcony seat, as it was not very comfortable sitting on a normal chair & I had to lean on the balcony to see the full stage, but that is a matter of preference.

    What a show
What a tremendous performance last night of Blood Brothers, from start finish a roller coaster ride of emotions. Comical in parts serious and thought provoking in others. An outstanding performance by the entire cast.

West side story. Brownhills musical theatre group
Excellent very polished performance with superb singing and acting from both individuals and groups. As good as many professional musicals I have paid a lot more to see. Highly recommended and will look out for future productions by this theatre group

    What a fabulous night!
What a great night! Went to Beauty and Beast pantomime. Hadn't been to one for years and what a treat we've missed. Staff very helpful and what a great show. We'd come up from Manchester for a weekend. Wish we lived nearer as programme of shows looks fantastic

    SIMPLY FIRSTCLASS ABSOLUTELY FAULTLESS
The pantomime today was absolutely fantastic every single person at the sell out show enjoyed themselves and were up on their feet at the end. The cast were first class simply faultless as were the musician's. If you have not booked to go this year ensure you book for next year I cannot recommend highly enough.

Sam and the group do it again
What a wonderful theatre, every year we took our kids to Birmingham Hippodrome for the Panto and when we were young the theatre in Dudley or Wolverhampton, then we found the Garrick. What a wonderful theatre, warm and cosy and so intimate, fabulous staff and as for the Pantos they are the best day out you will ever have. Fantastic local cast and great music, all the old jokes, it’s all here. Both upstairs and downstairs seat are excellent, three bars, a cinema and charity based. Set in the beautiful city of Lichfield with parking on the door step.

    Fabulous Performance!
Our Christmas staff outing took in the show 'A Christmas Getaway' and what a fabulous performance by just 4 well rehearsed stars playing multiple parts. The show had us all hooked from the very start till the very end, well done all!!

    Very welcoming
Small company's staff party of 4 to a matinee. The theatre is really nice and the staff are extremely helpful and lovely. Unfortunately, our pre-booked interval drinks were not prepared but the staff rectified this swiftly. It was a little cold in the studio theatre but we kept our coats on and were fine. Will definitely return.

Excellent pantomime supporting a small venue.
Pantomime, Beauty & the Beast. Easy to book online. Good sound system that was very clear. The Performance was faultless. They all got the theatre joining in & the children around us loved it. We didn’t purchase drinks so I’m not sure of price or queue. Staff were all friendly. Would recommend as price is a lot better than Birmingham & s smaller venue makes you feel part of it.

We visited the Garrick to see a screening of La Boheme from Convent Garden which was due to start in the Studio at 2pm. We arrived just after 1.30 pm and we were told to go to the theatre cafe where we could gain entry to the studio. When we went into the cafe there were lots of people also waiting to go into the studio. We were still waiting at 1.50 pm, lots of people were in their 70s and 80s and some had walking difficulties and there were only a few seats around. There was no announcement to apologise for the delay going in so this lady in front of us went to the Theatre foyer to ask what the problem was and they said there were experiencing technical problems. We finally went in around 2.05pm and because it was being screened around the country the introduction had already began. If the Garrick are to continue having these screenings in the studio, they need to be better organised because everyone has paid good money for their tickets and it's not fair to treat their customers in this manner.

Having said that we had very good seats and La Boheme was excellent and we really enjoyed it.

We booked tickets for this live screening in the cinema a few weeks ago for last Saturday night. As the box office is only open for a few hours Fridays and Saturdays I decided to ring Friday lunchtime to see if the performance was going ahead and find out how long the running time was for. Because of the reduced hours I was placed in a queue on the phone for around 20-25 minutes. Anyway when I was put through the lady said the screening was still going ahead but she didn't know how long the running time was for. After I finished my phone call and looked at my emails I had received an email from the Garrick reminding me of my booking. Surely, if this had been sent out earlier in the day it would have avoided anyone having to ring up to see if the performance was going ahead. When we arrived at the Garrick there was a social distancing queue and plenty of santiser and when everyone was seated there was only about 15-20 people there. The performance, which was more of a documentary, was very interesting and enjoyable but after around 90 minutes the credits came up, we were surprised to find that was the end and everyone got up and left. Surely this should be reflected in the price of the tickets, because we have been to cinema screenings here before and they have been much longer than this.

Hi Janice, thank you for your feedback. It is greatly appreciated to receive feedback on how we are doing during this difficult and unprecedented times! With regards to the pre-show email that you received, this is automatically sent out the day before every show at 12pm, which is the same time all pre-show emails for all shows are sent. We are sorry that you felt this is too late in the day but we have found this to be the most successful time for us with regards to the number of patrons who open the email to access the necessary information. We are also unable to list show timings on this email currently as this is a standard email for all patrons that has to be worded a little differently now due to COVID-19 but this is definitely something we can take on board for future emails. With regards to the length of the performance, we are sorry you felt it was too short. Our ticket pricing for cinema screenings is standardized and showings do differ in length, but we will work to make sure that show lengths are more readily displayed in the future. Thanks again for your feedback, it is greatly appreciated!

I went to see Jane Eyre at the Garrick Theatre on Saturday 15 February 2020 with a friend. The play was brilliantly and cleverly done. There were only 5 actors on stage doing different parts apart from who played Jane Eyre as she was hardly off stage and also narrated the story within her role. The set was minimal but effective and the atmospheric music played by four of the actors was really good. Look out for Blackeyed Theatre as they have very talented actors and look forward to seeing further plays of theirs at the Garrick Theatre.

The Lichfield Garrick is an excellent local theatre which always shows good plays/films etc. and encourages local participation with productions. There is plenty of parking/pubs and restaurants nearby.
My wife and I are regular clients of the theatre and have seen quite a few performances , each have been excellent. Spamalot was brilliant and had us laughing from beginning to end and the latest play , The Cat and canary was a wonderful production with good solid acting from all caste, a good set of famous names which gave a great performance. I would recommend the theatre to one and all. Expect high prices in the bar, but apart from that a great matinee or evening performance awaits.

We booked tickets to this tribute on the back of a cancelled weekend in Southampton to see another Smiths tribute during lockdown. So in the end it worked out well. Being big Smiths fans from some 40 odd years ago we looked forward to a night of nostalgia and good music. If I heard it right this was in fact the inaugural performance for this tribute band. Well done lads you did just fine! We enjoyed these talented musicians take on one of the most iconic bands of all time. As big music fans we go to all sorts of tribute nights some bang average, most pretty good and a few that we thought just excellent. For The Smiths are Dead we reckoned pretty good…….not bad at all for a first time out! Our bit of feedback…..work on developing your presentation between songs to give a flavour of the Smiths rise and inspiration as a band….maybe a video backdrop as well. Who do we think are the benchmarks….Live on Mars (Bowie) just brilliant. ELO Experience…..great tribute to a great band. Luther…great voice and great audience rapport. The Simon & Garfunkel Story……superb tribute and superb backdrop presentation.

Watched The New Adventures of Peter Pan on Boxing Day. Loved every minute of, the cast worked so hard to ensure everyone in the audience enjoyed themselves. The acting was superb, dancing was beautiful to watch, singing of a high quality and the jokes were pitched correctly for a mixed audience. Although the cast have done over 50 shows, they all looked as though they were thoroughly enjoying the performance.
We loved Nana, the break dancing dog, very original.

Absolutely brilliant! I truly do not think a professional cast could have done better. It was amazing from start to finish and we came out with large smiles on our faces. the talent in the cast and orchestra was staggering and the amount of back-room work that must of gone on to produce such a spectacular production

We went to see this ‘Mystery Who Done it?’ the Saturday before Christmas . What a brilliant start to the festivities. There were four actors who played all of the roles. They were absolutely brilliant. They produced pun after pun. The script kept us both captivated and in stitches at the great humour delivered. We will definitely look out for something similar next year. A nice change to a pantomime, or both if u fancy, as the pantomimes are always very good too .

Loved the show we saw- the kids brothers. was amazing, my husband has a disability and u didn’t think the toilets were the best for him. They were dark and at the top of an open steep stone staircase . Which could be dangerous. Staff were friendly enough, only had no alcohol beer in one of the bars so I had to run downstairs for some, again as my husband is unable to drink due to his disability. Also extremely hot inside the venue, full understand that people were dancing etc, but the heat was overwhelming… that said would definitely go again just be aware if you have a disability

We watched recently the online panto jack and the beanstalk. I thought it was a brilliant idea and was lovely to watch.

It will never replace the theatre experience but well done Garrick in putting it on and well done to Sam and all the cast - can’t be easy keeping the same levels of enthusiasm and enjoyment with no live audience - by the end we were shouting and booing as if we were there rather than at home.

Thank you for giving us a simple pleasure in what has been a dreadful year
