A twee little garden centre that isn’t over commercialised but still has a nice range of garden essentials and accessories. There’s also an array of franchise huts selling crafty nick-nacks and gifts which is quite pleasant. If you visit be mindful of the weather as this is mostly outside with uncovered walkways.
Whilst visiting we ate at the cafe which isn’t that great to be honest. For what it is, food is pricey, over cooked, bland, poorly presented and staff that really need some training in customer service, everything seemed as though we were interrupting their day and they were doing us a favour by being open rather than being appreciative of our custom. It’s really more akin to a greasy spoon than a garden centre eatery. Don’t think a return visit will be on the cards.
Star rating is more reflective of the cafe than the garden centre as these cannot be shown separately.

I visited here with my family for lunch. I ordered from the main menu a goats cheese and beetroot salad for £11.95. I was quite disappointed with my lunch when it arrived as for £11.95 I was expecting much more. The salad itself tasted fine, however, portion size was underwhelming. I had one small beetroot and 4 slices of cucumber and tomato with a small handful of leaves. Similar to what you would expect from a side salad. My children’s meals were a much bigger portion. I was left still hungry and really disappointed especially after paying almost £12. I did not have the chance to raise this with staff as it was very busy and we were not attended to.

Very small supposed garden centre, but it is mainly small ‘huts’ with separate businesses in...... which are all closed on a Monday.

We ate lunch at the cafe. The chips were nice. The battered fish however, although looked good, wasn’t! The batter was raw on the inside and very stodgy. Just had to pick out the fish from within. The sausage, mash and gravy was poor. Standard sausages, watery mash with very watery brown water masquerading as gravy. Small portion, certainly not value for money at £10,95!!

Would not recommend eating there.

The cafe is still open on days where craft cabins are closed, which provides a young family with a great outlet with coffee, ice cream and birds in aviaries on site.
Once they are open, the whole site livens up, with a great range of crafts on sale. An antique area is close by, near the birds.
A superb coffee stop, with ample car park, gusts to buy, what’s not to like?
Highly recommended for local and distant visitors alike.

Not a good experience this morning. Nice coffee. Ordered toast and marmalade which was priced £2.50 on the menu. When we received the bill, toast and marmalade was priced at £4. Queried this, we were told prices had gone up. This makes the most expensive toast and marmalade we have ever had, and poor practice not to change menu prices.

My friend and I started off with a Cappuccino, which is very good just as one should be, followed by one of the sandwich meals. The menu states it is on thick bread but in my opinion it's too thick, doorsteps is how my gran would have described it. I asked for the bacon to be well done but it wasn't and it was cold. I think this was because it was pre-cooked. I say this because it was served quite quickly, too quickly for it to have been cooked fresh and was quite tasteless. The vegetable soup that came with it was delicious. The accompanying salad is very minimal with one small slice of tomato, half a slice of cucumber cut into two pieces and lettuce some of which was browning. We finished with tea. However, I didn't know that it was a dog friendly café and can't recall any signs before you enter and only became aware when two dogs started barking. After a while the owner did go outside but when she returned the dogs started barking again. This happened twice more. When I asked the waitress to address this I was told there was nothing they could do because it was a 'dog friendly' café. That may be the case but the dogs were not shouldn't take precedence over the comfort of customers. I was told if it continued they would speak with the owner. Shortly after the dogs and owner left. I don't dislike dogs but don't think they ought to be allowed into eating establishments. Apart from anything else dogs carry fleas and these could easily be unknowingly transported to our homes if you are close to them and a flea leaps onto you. I'm afraid I won't be returning to eat here.

For some reason you have to be 'let in' to the cafe, and told what table you can sit at. This reminded me of children at an infant school. The problem here is I'm not 5 years old and yes I have a brain. So this to me was really belittling, rude, unnecessary and lacked respect. The food was OK, nothing special, the cafe had no atmosphere, the staff are abrupt and surly.

Loved the many craft cabins. Something for everyone for sure. Quite a strong ethos of reuse & recycling which is something very important for me. Only had a cuppa & a cake in the cafe but they were excellent & served with a smile. On the way out there is a small zero waste shop too. I shall go prepared with containers to fill next time

Went to christmas event. There was no music.. no decorations..no atmosphere.. staff at cafe not helpful in fact they werr dismissive. They had put no effort into it being a Christmas event. Not even remotely Christmasy. Waste of time such a let down. I will not be back. I felt conned and misled.
