There is a small car park right by the gorge but it can be visited also as part of longer walks from Wells. It is looked after by the National Trust. A quiet spot with different walks depending upon your fitness levels.

The walk down through the middle of the gorge involves clambering down some steep rock ravines. It was dry for us but could be difficult when wet.

We walked a circular route from Wells that took in the Gorge. It was easy to climb and well sign posted through the Gorge. Include in any walk in the area.

A mile beyond Wookey Hole Caves, uphill on the right, access to the free car park for the variety of walks at Ebbor. Some of it is steep, but manageable even with regular shoes. With woods and long views, the walk can be as short...More

Visited in April and area relatively quiet. Lovely walk through the gorge - muddy in places so walking shoes best. Some quite steep slopes with one section where you have to physically climb up to get through so you'd need to be reasonably fit to...More
