When at the Bristol airport, go outside to the bus stalls. It was in stall 23 for us.Thank you for the excellent 4* review. - Discover341521476754 contributionsScrap the scaniaGreat bus service often quite late but that can't really be helped mostly modern nice buses with the 2023 bus being especially nice but bath bus company listen to me when I say please please please get rid of that 2009 scania bus it's absolutely awful it's dirty slow uncomfortable and it smells. Get rid of it, please. Other than that one most of the others are good, and the drivers are friendly and it's often quieter then the x39 to bath so you always get a seat. Scrap the scania then 5 stars.Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. We are always looking at ways to improve the service, including upgrading our fleet. I get this bus most days to work from Bristol to Bath and I can say it usually takes 50 minutes journey time. Sometimes it does take longer, like during the morning peaks as the service tends to cater to the locals aswell as people travelling to and from the airport. The drivers are VERY friendly. Highly recommended to use.

Thank you for the excellent 5* review. We expect high standards from our driving team so it is great to have such positive feedback. As lockdown has lifted, we have seen an increase in traffic which can have an impact on running times during peak periods. We are monitoring this closely and hoping to revert to our 30 minute service frequency as soon as is viable.

This bus service is a joke the bus driver he stop for smoking during the night from Bristol to Bath at least 3 times.. the bus was late, and also heavy rain and when I was arriving at the airport we start to queuing for get in the bus he close the door, probably when to smoke again… standing outside on the rain and when I said is not nice wait under the rain the lady said I can go back under the sheds, if I want!!! not explain how long we must wait, so everyone follow me, after a while start to shout to get back!!! Is not a new time table so no body knows when the bus arrives honestly they don’t have customer service skills and they just don’t care my experience very disappointed

Every time I've had the misfortune of getting this bus it has been an awful experience. The staff are somehow each so individually rude and condescending. I have been sold the wrong tickets multiple times (how is this even possible?) I am always polite and cheery to bus drivers so am taken back each time they manage to be so rude.
The rudeness would be tolerable if the bus service actually ran well. Instead you will be left waiting for sometimestimes over an hour because the buses are ALWAYS incredibly late and sometimes don't show up at all.
Want to check the bus time table to see when the next one might come? Too bad, it's been missing from the bus stop for ages, and someone's kindly stuck a sanitary towel to where it should be.
It is beyond me that anyone could rely on this service to catch a flight on time, I used it to get to university and would be late to class even if I left an hour earlier than necessary.

At the point in which you left your review, we were experiencing significant delays as a result of heavier traffic and road works. We implemented a new timetable from 1st September which has improved our reliability.

Having no car, I took a bus from Devizes to Bath & then the Air Decker to Bristol Airport for my recent trip to Spain.
The Air Decker was easy to book online (the only aspect of which I didn't like was having to pay via PayPal, which I had to join) - but I didn't actually receive a ticket from PP - just a receipt. So I then had to phone Bath bus services, where the very helpful lady emailed me the ticket & told me how I could pay via my credit card next time, as I really don't want to use PayPal.
The driver was excellent and the bus very comfortable - departing & arriving bang on schedule. I'll definitely use this service again, which is far easier than having a friend drive me there (which I'd done 2 weeks prior to meet a friend arriving from France) - as the parking at Bristol Airport is awful & one has to pay ÂŁ6 simply for a 1 minute pick up.

I sent a email to Air Decker after a terrible experience on their bus and never had the decency of a reply. Says it all about this company ! I only noticed this review site today when I was looking at the timetable so I decided to give my pennyworth.
I shan't give all the detail I did in my email but you may get a flavour of their customer service (joke)
I had attended a funeral in Newcastle and flew in to Bristol and went to get on the 11pm Air Decker and met with the most rude and surly bus driver full of arrogance and attitude. This company can give child fares from the airport to people with a bus pass. He knew better and said the passes were not valid from the airport, this developed in to an argument and he then threatened to have me turfed off the bus, together with my wife! We are both in our late seventies.
He then made me apologise (which stuck in my craw) but we had had a long day, and then proceeded to give us the tickets, child fare, so his whole attitude was uncalled for! APPALLING EXPERIENCE

This bus is so irregular. I can always expect to wait atleast 20minutes most times I use it. I have had issues with it skipping the stop I want to get off at as it isn’t a common one for it to stop at. Most of the staff are lovely but I’ve had some be really passive aggressive with me when I’m trying to be as polite as I can be. But today I am so upset November 14th 2024 I am waiting for the 04:17 at an isolated stop in the dark as a woman by myself. Scary. The bus arrives at 04:25ish and I have my phone flashlight on as it would be hard to see me, hand out and waving as soon as I can confirm the bus number and they drive right past me. I’m now not sure what to do as the next one isn’t until 0517 but due to the irregularity of them I don’t want to miss it by going home but don’t want to have to stand out here alone. Im really upset by this.

Bus over half an hour late at Bristol Airport. I used the time in the queue to purchase an e-ticket online from Air Decker, only to be told by very officious driver that the ticket had to be in paper. Somehow I was supposed to print one whilst waiting in the queue. I pointed out the difficulty of this as politely as possible. The driver then said that he had no means of scanning my e-ticket code to verify its validity. It seems ludicrous that the company can issue a ticket whose validity cannot be verified by their staff. Smart bus, though, and comfy and speedy once it got going

Thank you for your review. I am unsure why the driver said that it had to be paper. Whilst we cannot currently scan the QR codes, the driver can note the booking reference number from a mobile device and this will suffice. I will speak to our operations team to find out why this was refused. Thank you for bringing this to our attention

Have used the service 5 or 6 times now to get to/from the airport, and has always been reliable and had friendly drivers. By far the best option for travel, especially with an early flight.
Occasionally the bus has been a little late but it's Bath/Airport traffic, so you kind of expect it, especially at peak times.

Very inconsistent buss service. Often times you’ll be waiting 1-2 hours for an airport bus. I suggest working on consistency through the bus schedule. A developed app giving live time of the busses would be very convenient.

Thank you for your feedback. We are currently operating an hourly service to and from the airport, subject to there being no issues with vehicles and traffic on route. Pre pandemic we operated a 30 mins service frequency which is much more attractive. Due to a decrease in demand and a shortage of drivers. we have been unable to return to this to date. Whilst we don't have a dedicated app for Air Decker our live timings and tracking is available through UK Bus Checker which is free to download on any smartphone. I hope this will help in future.

shocking bus, always late and doesn’t turn up at all sometimes. majority of drivers are very rude especially a middle aged female driver who i’ve seen mentioned in these reviews. overpriced bus, typically late with impatient, unkind drivers. overall terrible

Hi, I would be really grateful for tips on how everyone books their journeys. I want to travel from Bath to Bristol Airport later this month but the website plays up so I can’t enter the time and direction of travel. Is there an Air Decker office somewhere where I can buy a ticket? Also for an Airport trip reliability is essential. Can I rely on this service if I allow for a delay of an hour or so? Concessionary bus passes can be used for local journeys (for example Bath to Saltford) but they are not valid into or out of Bristol Airport. This is a restriction on all services that go into BRS as airport travel does not fall into the concessionary travel scheme as a premium fare. However if you have a bus pass you can travel at the reduced child rate if presented when boarding.

Hi Returns are open returns- valid for up to 3 months from the date of the outbound journey. Present your booking confirmation to the driver when boarding, and they will exchange it for the return ticket on bus.
