Last week I went "on spec" to one of the Mission to Bath healing meetings organised by Bath City Church, where the guest speakers were John and Carol Arnott from Toronto Airport Christian Fellowship - this is the church (now huge) where the "Toronto Blessing" revival started in January 1994, and continues to this day. One blessing I personally received at the meeting was that I was invited to stay overnight by a lady on the Bath City Church ministry team, so that was one answer to prayer - as all the guest houses I had tried were full, and I am quite short of money at present. I was struck by the relaxed and unpressurising atmosphere of the meeting, with a lack of hype or over-emphasis on financial giving. I missed the time of worship at the start, but was impressed by the personal testimonies (i.e. true stories) given by several people who had experienced physical and/or emotional healing in recent meetings at this Mission. One lady, Mari, spoke of complete healing from terminal cancer - and she certainly looked well that night! John Arnott and the ministry team offered prayer to anyone who wanted any kind of healing from the Lord Jesus - there was nothing "spooky" about this, and I was glad to see that this church was obeying the command of Christ to heal the sick in His name! One lady came up for prayer concerning depression and severe back pain, and the look on her face completely changed within the space of a couple of minutes - suddenly she was radiant and saying that the back pain had gone! I have visited Bath City Church previously for special meetings, and would certainly go again given the chance. The venue is the old Forum cinema right near the shops and station, and the usual (or unusual!) meetings happen every Sunday morning and evening.

The building itself is a wonderful restoration but it's the cafe we visited. They serve lovely food in very comfortable surroundings with wifi. The coffe and tea and breakfast items are good value and it's a nice place to sit and have a quiet drink. There are not many places in Bath other than the big chains to sit and relax so this is worth finding .

Imposing building that is the city church. Very 1930's style building that we seeked out to take some pictures. Beautiful building.

OK for hiring as a venue. Not recommended for needy people looking for sensible advice and practical help. A bit hyper and they do go through some queer phases and fads that aren't healthy. I daresay young bright well heeled uni students with no health problems find them interesting and a bit experimental but they can actually be quite cruel and silly.

The Bath City Church is situated in The Forum, a large Art Deco building at the junction of Corn Street and St James' Parade. We used it for the purpose of attending a Mothers' Union Conference in June 2013. We had about 750 members (I believe) attending and it was a very comfortable venue. The facilities were perfectly adequate, despite the fact that most of the men's WCs were temporarily given over to the ladies for obvious reasons!
Beautifully decorated and very comfortable.

This building has been sympathetically restored and looks great. Used as a church, but also hosts conferences and other events. The church runs a number of interesting events for all ages.
It's a church which believes Jesus is relevant today and often sees people healed of a number of physical, emotional and spiritual issues. They meet on sundays at 10.30am. Why not drop in? They serve great coffee too and are not "stiff and starchy". Expect some lively singing and playing by their"band".
