What a wonderful introduction to Bath, and how wonderful that it's free. A lot of people showed up for the walk, but there were multiple guides, so we broke up into small groups. Our guide was knowledgeable, pleasant and very well informed. He added so much color and history to what we saw. This was absolutely worth doing! So nice... More

This tour challenges the proverb that nothing in life is free. This tour was free and wonderful. Our guide, Bob, was not only knowledgable and humorous but he entertained us by bringing to life some of the characters of Bath society in the 18th century. We learned a great deal about the architecture of the Georgian period versus the Victorian... More

We had an excellent tour with our guide, Diana. These tours are by locals who are, with good reason, proud of their city and its history. Diana was knowledgeable and we covered most of the highlights.

This was my 4th time taking this tour (what can I say, I love Bath) and it is still awesome. Every guide takes you to the same sights, but what I love is that every guide tells slightly different stories along the way. Today I had Pete, and he talked very little about Jane Austen and told a great story... More

A very enjoyable, totally free walking tour. Very knowledgeable guide and the tour is not too long, distance wise. I would thoroughly recommend this tour.

An absolute must-do as a first thing when arriving in Bath. There are two such walking tours per day (one a 10:30am and another at 2pm), hosted by the Mayor’s Corps of Honorary Guides and offered totally free (no tips required!). These volunteer guides simply love to share their knowledge of Bath. Our guide Jack Smith, a true storyteller, kept... More

Fantastic tour that covered much of the history and architecture of Bath. Our tour lasted a little over two hours. Our Guide was a great storyteller and kept us engaged. Don't be alarmed if there are lots of people waiting, there were there guides for our session so they were able to split us up into smaller groups.

in May I joined this free tour and I was not disappointed. my guide, Adrian (the cop) was very funny and engaged with the group. he is from Bath so he could tell you great stories from the past and present and surely as a cop he has had some interesting experiences. The tour is very doable, the pace is... More

This free tour is definately worth spending two hours on. The guide Gweyn took us through the central part of Bath and with his words almost painted a picture in our mind of the many interesting stories abouth the Bath and the peoples in it. From roman times up to the end of the 19 th. century. Birte and Ole,... More
