This is an excellent service being offered free to visitors of Bath. Our guide Collin was excellent, being very knowledgeable about the architecture and social history of the city.We have been to Bath several times and are now more knowledgeable about the city and how the city developed socially and culturally.

My husband and I just had a wonderful experience today, January 18, 2017 walking around Bath with a delightful and knowledgeable guide. This is our first time visiting Bath, so the walking tour was a great introduction to the city.

I happened upon the meeting spot for this free walking tour a few minutes before departure and spontaneously decided to join. The guide (whose name I can't remember unfortunately) was an encyclopaedia, managed the tour well in terms of timing, walking pace etc, and covered almost everything of interest. Plus, this is genuinely free. Guides do not accept tips never... More

We met our guide 'Gregor' in front of the Pump House who did a quick run through the numerous nationalities in the group with a few humorous quips, at the expense of any rugby fans. This was a 2 to 2 1/2 hour stroll with lots of stops imparting tales and details of the history of the city. It was... More

Dan was our fantastic guide on Saturday morning 14th January. He was interesting, amusing and knowledgeable. He answered our questions and made the walk so enjoyable, even on a cold winter's morning! Thoroughly recommend :-) And hats of to him, it's something he does in his free time on a voluntary basis, whilst working full time during the week. (He... More

We thoroughly enjoyed Richard's commentary during our 2.5 hour walking tour of Bath this morning. This tour is entirely free and is a service provide by the city-no gratuities are expected or accepted. Several guides join the assembled tourists in front of the Pump House and smaller groups are formed, one guide to a group. Over the course of the... More

This is quite simply a must for anyone visiting or even staying in Bath. The local guides are extremely informative, and do very well to keep the conversation lively. It lasted for just around 3hrs, and everyone part of the group enjoyed the time very much, and we covered several important historic sites. Would highly recommend.

Wonderful tour of old Bath. Our guide, Peter, was entertaining and informative. We enjoyed the long walk, and the on-going history lesson. It brought Bath into perspective, and brought the city to life. Many thanks to the guides. Peter also assisted with recommendations for tea afterward.

My girlfriend and I visited Bath over New Year and we were recommended this tour. We were shown around the historic city by Adrian who was extremely engaging, easy to listen too with a good sense of humor. As others have previously said; it is free, only 2 hours long and you get to see parts of Bath you probably... More
