Each time we attend a performance at the theatre we ask ourselves why we left it so long since our last visit. Some top class actors and performances are staged here and who can blame our best actors for wanting to spend some time in this lovely city and away from the smoke? The theatre is idiosyncratic which means some... More

The show was as expected. The guy who played wild bill hicock was excellent as was the rest of the talented actors and actresses. The theatre 🎦 was very nice and I have been to a show previous here.

One of the best theatres in the west. They get a wonderful list of differing productions to suit all tastes. The theatre is large enough for most west end productions but small enough to create a great atmosphere which us lacking in larger venues.

We were staying in Bath for a few days and because I love the Theatre Royal I thought I'd get tickets for whatever was on, which was While the Sun Shines. As I usually hate farces I was a bit dubious as to whether I would enjoy it but fortunately it turned out to be one of the funniest plays... More

My husband and I visited the theatre for the 'Press Evening' of the Terrence Rattigan farce "While The Sun a Shines". A superb cast and a really funny play. Thoroughly recommended.

But shame on some of the audience members who do their selfish best to ruin a theatrical experience. This is an intimate venue with lovely rich historical features and charming staff but our outing was rather spoiled by women on one side munching away noisily on their snacks (some brought in their shopping bags and some bought on site) surrounding... Attended a preview showing of 'When the sun shines' whilst on holiday in Bath. Very comfortable and intimate theatre. Friendly staff in the box office, bars and front of house. Good enjoyable play too but the theatre and staff certainly play their part for an enjoyable night out.

Any discomfort in the rather narrow seats ( I was in Row E in the Stalls, Seat 2) was more than made up for by the friendliness of the staff - particularly in the bar. A very attractive theatre overall.
