Currently my fave pub in Bath. Going there again in a minute. Excellent beers, always something new. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Laid back atmosphere. The music is pretty good, actually think it could be a little louder.
If you like good modern craft beers you have to visit.

I wandered in last night with a couple of friends as part of a weekend in Bath, Chapter one is a lovely bar the couple that run the bar are lovely, as were the locals we got talking to.

Great range of beers and clearly somewhere the owners take a real pride in running, this is the sort of bar we should all be supporting. If I was local to Bath I would be in here all the time.

One of my favourite spots in Bath! Great range of ever changing beers and extremely friendly and knowledgeable service, every time I've been in (not often enough) I've been warmly greeted and often get talking with the owners and regulars alike. Could not recommend this place enough, Plus they have board games.... what's not to like!

Chapter One has been open nearly a year now - we are so pleased to have an independent craft beer pub open up so close to us.

Emma and Michael who run it are extremely knowledgeable and passionate about the beers they sell. There is an ever-changing list of beers and a cider on tap, plus an extensive list of bottled and can beers, plus wine, spirits and soft drinks!

Beers are sold in thirds, two-thirds and pints, and they a more than happy to give you a taste of any on tap before you buy.

There's a great selection of snacks inc scotch eggs, crisps, snacking meat, and I can recommend the smoked almonds! You can get a takeaway delivered there if you want something more substantial.

It is dog friendly, bicycle friendly, child friendly (there's a big selection of board games) and there is free wifi!

Make sure you visit if you come to Bath! Open Thursdays - Sundays plus Bank Holidays :)

We discovered this place when we had some time to spare late afternoon with the help of TA reviews. Micropubs are always of particular interest to us and this proved to be a great find. Some great beers were on offer: I tried 'Hubris Id - Ella Pale' brewed locally, which was very tasty.
We will be back next time that we're in town.

As the owners told me tonight this bar serves 'independent brewers' offerings as the majors have sabotaged the word 'craft'.

I am drinking a DEYA - Steady Rolling Man ( I love the name ) Pale Ale from Cheltenham, 5.2% and it is superb.

If you live in or are visiting Bath do your self a favour and visit Chapter One.

Me and the other half settled ourselves into the cosy armchairs by the fire on a Friday evening - lovely! Choice of pump or bottled beers and ciders which change regularly. Good atmosphere and pleasant staff. Open Wednesday to Sunday.

I visited this family run, free house for a work party. Newly opened, with really welcoming hosts, its a really pleasant place to stop for a drink. They obviously know their stuff and have carefully selected what is behind the bar.
