Only on a day visit to city and visited as we strolled around. Varied stalls with many eating units. Typical indoor market.

Outdoor Sunday Market/car boot
Oct 2018 • Family
This is the outdoor Sunday Market adjacent to Tescos car park. Not to be confused with the indoor market in Shrewsbury Town centre. (The photo Trip Advisor has is of the wrong market). This is a general Sunday market with car boot which I go to most weekends with my daughter. We like the fruit and veg stall which has a different variety on offer each week. We bought our dog bed from the pet stall (there are usually 2) at a lower price than we had seen in the shops. I always go to the watch stall for a new battery - fitted for just £1. We give a wide berth to the meat stall (I wouldn't call it a butchers) with its annoying man on a loudspeaker. Car boot sale can be up and down. It's largely trade and a lot of their stock is the same each week. You can pick up some gems from the casual pitches - we bought a Kenwood K mix food mixer, shop price over £200, for £20 earlier this year.

Harlescott Sunday Market
Aug 2017 • Solo
This is open every Sunday for the sale of fresh fruit & veg as well as meat. There is an extremley good plant stall where there are some good bargains to be found. The usual Tool, clothes, pet foods stalls can slso be found. Sadly over the years the market has shrunk. However, next to the stalls is a regular Car Boot Sale which offers some excellent bargains! It is always fascinating to see what some people no longer want!

Standard Markets
Jun 2017 • Friends
These are pretty standard markets found in many towns around the UK. They're in a fairly modern structure, which does take away some of the ambiance you might find in other town markets. Shrewsbury has a lovely open air Old Market Hall with a Statue of Clive of India in it, but this is no longer used (understandably - it is open to the elements - at least this one is covered).
I don't mean to denigrate it by marking it "average" - but it is, though with a couple of stand-outs.
There's a great seafood outlet, and you can eat there (and at other food vendors), and even have a glass of something while you do (a top idea!).
There's a small second-hand book vendor downstairs - but there's a big one upstairs (worth a look if you're seeking out reading material).
There's fruit and veg, and lots of meat (butchers) - we watched a lady making sausages, which was interesting.

Busy, busy, busy
Jun 2017 • Couples
We visited here after stumbling on it by chance ; what a busy, bustling place to see.
There is a vast array of stalls on two floors , with good amenities
You need to keep an eye on the time, as it is easy to get carried away while browsing/shopping.
