We took our elderly aunt out here for coffee last week as a treat and for a chat, I don't know if it was because we only had drinks but we were made to feel in a rush with waitresses hovering , The farm shop was good , but when I asked for a bag it was plonked on top... More

We had an enjoyable visit. There is an interesting display on the Battle of Shrewsbury - enough to provide a good insight into what happened and why. We walked to the church first but it was closed. Apparently the keys are available from the visitors centre but by then we were hungry. The restaurant was very busy but service was... More

We have just had lamb tagine for tea from battlefield shop costing £7. There were three small pieces of lamb in a dish supposed to serve two people . Absolutely disgraceful.

FAB farm shop with great selection of local produce. Beautiful deli section and not overly expensive. Great bread - suggest you call in here for picnic items, great pies, bread, pickles, cheeses and cooked meats. Next time will try lunch

A friend and I visited the cafe last week. The cafe is always busy which is a good sign. We had tea and cake which was excellent value for money, as the cake was a huge piece. The staff were friendly and the premises clean and bright. I cannot recommend the farm shop more highly, especially the butchers counter. High... More

I had just visited the Falconry centre just behind the 1403 courtyard (which you should deffo go visit btw) and thought it would be stupid not to visit on the way out. A nice little museum type building which is good for people interested in the battle of 1403 as it tells you every thing there are even little fact... More

Here there is an interesting and informative exhibition on the battle of 1403, as well as a farhop, restaurant and birds of prey centre. We only had coffees in the restaurant but the food looked very nice. The shop had a very wide range of items for sale.we didn't go into the birds of prey center because of horrible rain.

Tried this cafe for lunch and now it's become a regular haunt. Good food at a reasonable price. Lovely to sit outdoors in the summer months but just as nice inside.
