This is an excellent way to spend a dreary winter weekend. The instructor Mark Southall has a really good knowledge of his subject. Had a really good day there.

I went to Battlefield Falconry Centre with a group of friends on a beautiful winter morning. I have done several experiences in Shropshire because I love taking photos of wildlife but I felt this was one of the best. We did an hour "Hawk Walk" and another hour Owl Handling, we learnt a lot about all the birds and it... More

Brilliant experience, would highly recommend this to anyone visiting the area. Lots of interesting information about all sorts of owls and hawks, falcons and Ravens. Especially surprised at how relaxed the birds were and to be able to handle them both out on the field and back at the centre was a delight.

What a fantastic way to spend an hour on an autumn Sunday afternoon. Went out to the local woodlands for an hour with Mark and his Harris Hawk, it was a lovely experience and one I would do again!

I'm always on the lookout for new experiences to do with my husband and the Birds of Prey Experience did not disappoint. We had been looking forward to visiting for quite some time but the poor weather meant it had to be cancelled twice. Third time lucky though, and what a lovely day out it was last Sunday! Mark was... Most attractions fail to live up to expectations, but our 'Hawk Walk' at the Battlefield Falconry Centre far exceeded them. A lovely woodland stroll with a Harris Hawk treehopping along with us, frequently swooping down to take meaty morsels from the glove. Magical.

This centre is great, people are so friendly and approachable, the walk with the bird was so beautiful to see him flying back to you . I took my 6 year old son which isn't usually allowed but they were very accommodating and let him join in. He thought it was the best thing he had ever done thank you... More

Absolutely brilliant place! Loved seeing the birds and other animals. A really lovely chap showed us Maisie the little owl and she was so cute and told us about how he hand reared her from 4 weeks old! It's really nice to see these birds being looked after. Definitely recommend this place.

We visited the centre today firstly marvelling at the eclectic array of birds before being taken on a Hawk Walk. We walked through a local forest with a Hawk which would fly to our glove at various intervals for food. A unique and rewarding experience. Mark and Rob were great hosts, with plenty of knowledge of local history and of... More

What a fabulous day, my husband and I didn't know what to expect but we couldn't have enjoyed it any more. Mark and Rob were brilliant and had a wealth of knowledge about the birds and owls. The highlight of the day was when we went on the walk to fly one of the hawks. You wear the glove and... More
