All very beautiful as others have said and it's the perfect place for an easy walk from the historic town centre...took us about an hour which was easy strolling. The autumn colours and flowers were pretty. It looks like the perfect place for a tea house or cafe...we were looking for somewhere for morning tea down near the river. Perhaps... More

The quarry hides a beautiful garden just in the park beside the Severn River. There are a number of paths to take and plenty of seating to just relax and and admire the garden. A must if you visit Shrewsbury

The quarry is a wonderful place to spend with the family or to have a picnic especially on a hot summers day!

The holiday apartment we rented was by the river and every morning, my husband and I would get out for a pre-breakfast walk - onto the towpath, into the Quarry and out to the station-side by the Welsh Bridge. In the two weeks we were there, we witnessed 'marathon' races, fishing competitions, families, dogs and of course, you can watch... More

Nice place for a wander on a nice day. Take your dog, or just go for a relaxed stroll along the river. There's a great playground for little ones too.

Me and my husband were in town and thought we would go for a walk around the gardens. It was stunning all the beautiful smells and colours of the flowers and the animals it was attracting made it seem like a different world. We both loved it

Just off the main hustle and bustle of the market town and yet so close - this is the ideal place to walk, exercise dogs or run, picnic on the grass in nice weather, bring the kids to the adventure park or generally relax in the beautiful glory of The Dingle - the jewel in Shrewsbury's crown.

So lucky to have these wonderful gardens available. The autumnal colours abound now and pass through these gardens with a wonderful walk down the river.

I was visiting St Chad's Church and was looking for somewhere to exercise my dogs. Across the road is a gem! The park and gardens are a masterpiece of a communal recreational area and which was once a quarry! It must rank with the best of reclamation projects. Peaceful, quiet, beautifully kept and located alongside the longest river in England;-... More
