Lovely park

Had a short stroll through the park and came across some lovely gardens and a statue of Percy Thrower. The setting of the river gives it a great backdrop.

A beautiful park for a good but easy walk around the banks of the River Severn. Plenty of families enjoying the facilities. Highly recommended for a stroll.

We took our 2year old grandson here during a warm summer day. We had a lovely day out. The play area is suitable for all ages and he was overwhelmed by the choice he had. Fabulous amenities. The grounds are lovely too.

The dingle within the quarry is old yet beautiful. The lovely fountains, pond and flower beds are all very well maintained. The quarry itself is large and great for gathering with friends and family and enjoying walked along the river Severn or bathing in the sun on a summers day. There is a lovely play park for children and water... More

Large grass area with a riverside promenade. An excellent children's play area, a bandstand and the jewel in the crown, the beautiful dingle which is an enclosed landscaped garden created by the famous Percy Thrower. Add to this frequent fairs , concerts and other events such as the famous Shrewsbury Flower Show and what would we Salopian's do without the... More

The Quarry, known locally as The Dingle, is like a secret garden within the greater park. It was designed and donated to Shrewsbury by local 'famous' gardener Percy Thrower. We love it at ay time of year, but around the time of The Shrewsbury Flower Show in August, it's spectacular! This area of the park is about 3 minutes from... More

The quarry park has beautiful river views, a dingle which has a pond and an amazing array of gorgeous flowers. There is a children's play area & a mini splash park. There is also a cafe to purchase food and drinks.

We visited in February so the trees & flowers weren't at their best! However, it's a lovely area with a basic café.

Took a nice walk round what is known locally as ''The Dingle'' Beautiful scenery and 'iron' sculptures So pretty even for a early February day, I genuinely can not wait until spring/summer when the flowers are in bloom
