Shrewsbury Flower Show

The Quarry is beautifully maintained and provides a peaceful setting especially useful when attending the flower show as it can get very busy and noisy.

The Quarry is a lovely park next to the River Severn. It is lovely to walk along the river in the nice weather. If you are visiting Shrewsbury make the time to pay a visit.

Went to Shrewsbury after being recommended to by my friend Adriana. What a beautiful place!! We were blessed with lovely weather too. So historic with its castle olde world streets and shops. In the park area is "the quarry" a beautiful area where you can just sit and enjoy the views. So quiet and peaceful. A must after a trip... More

Absolutely lovely floral garden worth a visit ,but it would be great idea to try and reinvent the design, it is so dated when you watch the tv garden programmes and see how times have changed with garden displays that have moved on you feel having visited a number of years it is still the same today..

Always s pleasure to walk over the quarry. We Park the car the boat house side of the river and walk through the quarry to get into the town, it's nice to see it busy with families and children enjoying the facilities. Clean tidy and a beautiful garden to walk through, it's a must for anyone who visits Shrewsbury... Bob... More

The Quarry is a grat park with plenty space for ball games. There is a great play area for kids between 1 and about 11 years of age. The park is great for dog walking and the dingle area is simply stunning.

Even on a normal day it's great to walk, run, cycle, play in the Quarry. There are often great events on, most notably the Shrewsbury Flower Show in mid August each year. As The Quarry is pretty much in the town centre and has the river Severn on its banks it's ideally located and just so much fun but also... More

We always make a point of going to have a look and the Quarry as the planting is always amazing and the grass doesn't even look real! It is very well thought out and always looks amazing. It's is also a lovely place to sit and relax.

If the weather is good then the Quarry is great! Large open spaces for picnics, kicking a football etc. Newly constructed kids play park and splash area which are great (& free)! If you do want to spend any money, there's usually trampolines and bouncy slides! Always an ice-cream van and somewhere to buy tea & coffee! There's loads of... More

Always worth a visit to see the wonderful dingle. This time of year it is alive with colour but tranquil and worthy of sitting to absorb the setting. The design and variety of flowers in this special place never fails to impress year after year.
