A very, very pleasant ride up and down the River Severn, between and under bridges. Views of historical buildings, churches, local backyards, crew house, Shrewsbury School, etc. ... On the deliciously sunny day I took the boat ride, adults and school children strolling along the River Severn repeatedly waived to those on the boat --- how civilized and friendly! The... More

We travelled to this town by coach and there was a boat trip included in the price so we thought - that will be nice. How wrong can one be? We had to queue for ages before we could board and then we were shown downstairs to out seats. The trip began and the skipper was telling us all about... More

Today was my fourth time on the boat and it never fails to disappoint. We took my 86 year old mother in law today for her birthday as a surprise and she was overwhelmed and thoroughly enjoyed it. Even though its my 4 th trip I enjoyed it just as much as the first time. The view from the river... More

A party of friends spent a glorious day in Shrewsbury recently and the organiser had booked a trip on Sabrina and what an inspired decision it was. The trip takes around 40mins from Welsh Bridge to English Bridge and back. The first leg you were left to marvel at the scenery whilst taking in some refreshments. Tea/coffee soft drinks or... More

A lovely way to spend an hour in Shrewsbury. You sail down the river first then have a talk on the sights and history of Shrewsbury on the way back. You can buy drinks on-board to make more of the trip. Staff were friendly and the guide was very knowledgeable. It's a good way to learn more about the history... More

Okay - the day was too hot for strenuous effort, particularly when you're sat with a beer on the banks of the River Severn. So it seemed inevitable that we ended up on the Sabrina, hearing about the history and attractions of Shrewsbury. Well, quite simply it was great! The talk was interesting, the scenery was beautiful and the overall... More

It was a lovely sunny day so we took the car to Shrewsbury for a walk around and to take a river trip. If you park on Frankwell car park (£4 all day) it is only 10 min on foot to the river boat Sabrina, moored right by Welsh bridge, with sailings on the hour. The trip is only 45... More

This isn't one of the "big name" Things To Do in Shrewsbury, but it was a great outing. Friendly, low-key welcome aboard; entertaining commentary; lovely scenery (it was a sunny day - probably less fun in the rain, but still scenic). A very reasonably priced way to see a different view of the town, and to learn a bit more... More

Excellent value for money!. First time in Shrewsbury for myself and for my Colombian mum and nan, we truly enjoyed it. It is a brilliant way of getting to know a little bit of this lovely town's history while enjoying a nice refreshing drink. I very much recommend it!
