We stayed not far away, and I had promised my daughter a cheeseboard. So I popped off to The Mousetrap, having found it on line a few days before, to buy a surfeit of cheese for our family break! Many delicious cheeses in a huge variety of textures tastes and colours! Will certainly visit again, if not in person, then by mail! Llyn was kindness itself, and her knowledge and help ensured a wide range was selected. i appreciate being given time to think, and really enjoyed the experience as well as the gaining of knowledge. Don’t miss the opportunity to buy anything from an unpasteurised farmhouse cheese to an English competitor for Parmesan. A little gem of a shop!

One of my favourite types of shop after a vineyard to be precise, the shop is quite petite but the lady there knew what was what and that's always a good sign. When i asked her which she thought was best she said she knew most of them so she couldn't say. We decided to buy a long the line we would normally do.

Sadly they no longer offer a taste before you buy that in these troubling times is understandable.

I love cheese, so I accept every opportunity to go to an independent cheese shop. Always good to taste before you buy. Pleasant helpful lady who guided my choice.

Visited this delightful looking shop today to be tempted into buying a few different cheeses. This didn't happen as the server was extremely unhelpful and unfriendly. I asked the gentleman to recommend a nice blue cheese to which he moodily replied 'depends what you like' This is not the way to go about selling your cheese. We are a real cheese loving family and could easily have been talked into buying a fair few pounds worth of cheese, instead we bought one piece and to be honest the chap was so rude I wish I'd left it and walked out. A little tip to this cheese shop.....to sell lots (your main objective one would have thought) be friendly, helpful, know your cheeses, give recommendations and maybe a small sample. Won't be going into this shop again, it's the deli opposite for me from now on ........the staff were nice and the cheese very good.

A quite superb shop! Wonderful range of cheeses and all very reasonably priced. On our last two visits to Ludlow, it's been closed but, this time. WOW! If you love cheese, then this should be your first stop.

This is a great little shop with a wonderful selection of cheeses. We particularly wanted to buy local cheeses and the lovely lady was very helpful. There are chutneys and pickles for sale too which are delicious.
We couldn’t resist going back and buying a hand crafted oak cheese board there too, which we’re very happy with.

I try not to eat to much cheese but this place is just amazing, so many local, regional and sumptuous cheeses. It is a reall must do if you ate a cheese lover.

I have to confess I love cheese. What a great shop. Lots of local cheeses I have not tried and the usual classics as well. I bought x5 pieces of cheese and some butter for £15 so great value.
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Wish I lived next door.
These types of shop we need to keep going. Otherwise it will be supermarket cheese for ever.

This small shop in Church Street has a wonderful selection of British and continental cheeses including some made by their own Monkland Dairy. We particularly like their own Little Hereford and the plain Monkland. They also have a good selection of unpasteurised cheeses. It also has a good range of biscuits to go with the cheeses. They get very busy at weekends.
