About
Mahorall Farm Cider is a small family business located in beautiful South Shropshire. On our 150 acre farm we make a wide range of ciders including flavoured ciders made from fruit and flowers sourced from the farm. We have a small shop at the farm open to the public from Midday - 5pm as well as a nature walk which visitors can use to explore the farm. We also sell our ciders at a number of food festivals and shows in the local area.

Lovely walk and great cider
Sep 2021
Chris made us feel really welcome on arrival as we sampled and bought the reasonably priced tasty ciders. He has so much knowledge of the farm, apple growing and the cider making process and just loves talking to the customers.
The nature walk which takes you past some of the fruit trees was really enjoyable - so tranquil. The directions were easy to follow as we walked around enjoying nature and the views. Lots of interesting information too on the directions for the walk, which is just over a mile in total; however it is not really suitable for pushchairs due to the terrain. Look out for the wild birds too as you drive down the track during the final part of the drive to the farm (we found it easy to find it with the sat nav).

Thank you very much for your 5 star review and I am very pleased you enjoyed your experience of our small farm. We are proud of what we do and making cider is only part of it. By taking the walk you get a better idea of our 'bigger picture' and we enjoy sharing our farm with people who appreciate the countryside. Thank you again and we hope to see you at some point in the future.

Hugely enjoyable and informative visit to Mahorall Farm Cider. We accessed directions to the farm using website. The website is is presented in a clear, logical and helpful way.
The Farm Trail provided an effective introduction to the work of the Farm. Scenicially stunning with an amazing toposcope recording surrounding significant landmarks. Clee Hill provides an outstanding lookout point. The work of the Farm dovetails with a desire to protect and promote a range of flora and fauna.
Our host was most generous in his time and provided a fascinating insight into the history of the farm.
The end product is delicious!

Cider tasting
Sep 2021
Well of the beaten track, its a farm after all. They produce a wide range of cider that you can taste before buying, not that cheap but worth it if its what you like, At the end of a track past the cows keep going and you find the farm.

Tasty cider
Aug 2021 • Family
Fantastic location. Warm welcome. Very tasty, reasonably priced cider. Nature walk was very pleasant.
It would have been nice to learn or read a little about the cider making process itself/ family history of cider making etc...and maybe see the equipment used in cider making. This would certainly have made the trip a little more interesting and worthwhile.

Thank you for taking the time to review us. We are pleased that you enjoyed the cider as well as the walk. We are currently improving the buildings which means we are unable to show visitors around the cider making areas until it has been completed. Part of our improvement plan is to relocate our small shop to allow us to provide more information about the cider, history and the farm. The walks leaflet provides information of what you may see on the walk and a little history of the farm. You can of course always ask us when you visit any questions you may have. Thank you again.

A hidden gem for cider drinkers.
Jul 2021 • Couples
A great find for cider lovers. Prices are much better than you will find at the local 'farm shops.' There's even a lovely 1hr walk around the farm which you can do, and information about the flora and fauna that can be seen. Highly recommended!

Closed - despite what the website tells you
Aug 2020
Despite checking the website to be told it was open we arrived after an hour's drive to find a notice on the gate saying it was closed today - a notice that had clearly been there some time.
The telephone number on the notice went to voicemail so we wasted loads of fuel and time because the owners couildn't be bothered to update their website.
Very dissapointed

Thank you for your response. The reason for the alteration of shop opening times was due to a hospital appointment and was unavoidable. The front page of our website clearly stated the alteration of farm shop opening times and is regularly updated by myself. You left an answer machine message at 11.30am (which is before we usually open normally) and we called you back but you did not answer so we left a message stating the reasons why the shop was closed.

Unique wedding venue you can really make your own
Jul 2018 • Couples
Came across the farm while wedding venue hunting and it was perfect. If your looking for somewhere to make your own for a truly unique event then this is your place. Set in beautiful countryside, the venue allows you to tailor your event to suite you and your guests. We loved the camping facilities for guests and the freedom to make it out own. All our guests really enjoyed the weekend as did we. We set up a games room for the children and adults to keep them entertain which was a hit with everyone, had a hog roast and Chris the owner was nothing but accommodating. He made everything so easy and still to this day everyone always talks about our wedding weekend and when we are all going to do it again. Would recommend a visit to this place and it's a hidden gem and a stunning location with everything you could need.

Lovely, knowledgeable tour of an independent cider farm
Dec 2018 • Friends
Went here with a group of friends for a pre-New Years outing. Chris was so friendly and knowledgeable, and took us through an engaging talk about the cider making business. He's passionate about his work, and has a wonderful range of coders, from dry to sparkling to flavoured. We'll worth a visit to stock up on authentic Shropshire cider.

A great place for a big party
Aug 2018
We came here for a special birthday party for a friend.
It's a wonderful setting to have a big get-together.
We used the main barn room, which was ample for 80 people (not sure of the exact numbers, that's my best estimate).
There was space around the edges to set out food and drink, there was also a bar in the corner serving some of the cider farm's finest brews (and other drinks).
After food and drink, some of the tables were moved back, the musicians set themselves up and we had plenty of room for folk (?) dancing (those traditional dances with a "caller").
The farm itself is also interesting and there is even a Nature Trail.
Adjacent to the barn was a field where some guests were going to camp overnight.
The farmer has a firepit (with large pieces of wood for sitting around the fire) and lit a fire which was used for marshmallows later in the day.
A great setting for a very enjoyable party.

An adventure in cider!
Aug 2018 • Family
What a lovely chap... amazing cidery to visit. Its quite an adventure to get to in a normal family car, but well worth the farm tracks to visit. A variety of different ciders to buy and try. We particularly like the ginger cider, so pleased we made the effort to visit. Just a note - check the map, rather than relying purely on the satnav, although there are a few tourist brown signposts to help you along your way. Also, opens at 12 noon.
