In the gap between Medieval Castles and peasant hovels sits Stokesay. It's possible to imagine some domestic life existing here rather than the traditional Warwick Castle style military fortress.

Went with family to visit this castle. Very interesting to read about. Fun to look around. You could go all around the castle to explore. Was a lovely tea room too! And the gift shop was good. Staff very friendly and happy to help.

Beautiful castle - small but perfectly formed. Built in the late 13th century it has a number of complete rooms to tour at your leisure. The adjacent church is also well worth visiting. All in all, well worth a visit!

A very interesting and well presented castle visit with audio tour guide. Exactly what you would expect from English Heritage.

We thought this is one of the better Castles to visit, we are British Heritage members so we do visit quite a few,Heritage. We also had a very nice light lunch in the garden.

Visited this lovely castle on our journey home, we arrived at opening time and were greeted by a very helpful lady. The castle is undergoing some work but this didn't stop us exploring. Biggest downside was the lack of information boards and no one around to answer the kids questions.

A beautiful location in a quiet setting, we stopped off on a journey down the A49 and wished we had more time, well-preserved, good audio-guide interpretation, lovely bara brith (Welsh tea bread) in the tea shop...recommended!

It took me longer to drive here than it did to look around, its very small and consists of 3 buildings. Nevertheless its is unique and I was happy to see the olde rooms etc. The swallows nesting in the rooms are quite a bit of attraction with people walking through whilst swallows nest, and young, above their heads. I have passed this place so many times on the train always craning my neck to get the last possible view as the train went by. Well today was my lucky day I got to visit and it didn't disappoint. I just loved it, its such a atmospheric place and an amazing cruck roof. Audio is as good as a... More
