Amazing pub
Oct 2019 • Couples
Always a warm welcome with hosts Frank & Sylvia. Fantastic bar staff, fun pub quiz, darts, pool, table football. Walk in as strangers and out as friends. Traditional pub with cosy snug and an open fire. Perfect place for a great night out.

Great Night
May 2018 • Friends
Went to the Nailmakers on a Saturday night. Been along time I have been to this pub I use to work here as the DJ in the 80s. So when we went Saturday what a fantastic night great atmosphere and a great band on. If your in the area call into this great public house......

The Oldest Pub in Sheffield
This is the oldest licesened premises in Sheffield, and I'm pleased that as times have gone on the interior has retained some of its original character. The roaring open fire is an absolute gem on those chilly evenings.
The selection of beers isn't the best, I would like to see something more upmarket, but that said, it is a proper no nonsense estate local and is appealing to the majority of its general market with what is on offer.
I do feel the selection could be improved somewhat to attract a different clientelle whilst keeping the locals, but it seems to be doing ok as is.
Friendly, welcoming staff, some of whom the locals in the area will be familiar with from other local pubs in the past. Great landlord and landlady, and some lovely pets about the place too.
Big TV with Sky sports, and plenty of entertainment in the way of pub games, darts and pool, and a table football table.
Regular entertainment, bands and the like but nothing too grim and off putting. No food as it stands but I am told it is a possibility maybe in the future, which if so, I will look forward to and will be in to sample.
All in all, a brilliant local pub.
