Called in Sunday lunch just eight clients all of which I knew. Nice crowd of friendly people a good Sunday lunch atmosphere. Good pint of Tetley's it could do with being a bit colder but at £2.80 not complaining.
Long time since I've been in here it's now a different owner. It's changed for the better it was clean and tidy but badly in need of a refurb.

The new landlord was rude and arrogant from the moment of entry.
The pub it’s self is run down. It’s in a need of an update the carpets are sticky and it was dark and dingy.

Since Chantrey changed hands the place began rapidly going down! We were coming here for years, but no longer locals come here.. one of the reasons-prices are ridiculous! Ordered two Gin and lemonades and been asked to pay £14.80!! Seriously?! Won't be coming again
Best pub in area for a Sunday session great crowd of lads on Sundays. Tetley's a bit up and down but when it's good it's a very good pint the landlady is a very nice friendly woman and she sure pulls a good pint.
