Good pub grub
Jun 2019 • Couples
Burger and a pint for £10.95 large portion size and served hot.
Been this place Manet times especially when lived in Sheffield as a student. Not much has changed and atmosphere remains friendly.
Several tv screens to watch a variety of sports and feel free to ask a member of staff should you want to change the sport.
Average prices alcohol. Not the cheapest but by far not the most expensive in Sheffield. Great place to start the night.

Disappointing

Have been in this pub a few times before and it’s usually ok, however this time was not good at all.
Took my son in for some lunch, found a table and I went to get some drinks. The female bar staff who served me wasn’t welcoming at all. On returning to our table I noticed my glass had a chip on the rim. The same bar staff swapped glasses at my request without a word, I felt like an inconvenience, like it was my fault!
Decided to order some food, and yes it was the same bar staff who took my order. A slight difference in the title of the meal to the description meant a little misunderstanding which she took great delight in pointing out to me in no uncertain terms.
When the meal arrived it was ok, chicken hot, fries warm, rest of the food not bad.
Left feeling it is not somewhere I would return to, there are plenty of places in the city centre which are much more friendly and welcoming.
Also working in the same job myself for 30 years I am well aware of the importance of making customers feel welcome and that nothing is too much trouble. The girl behind the bar needs a little bit of training on that score, sadly her attitude was one of couldn’t care less.

Thumbs up!

I call in the Graduate a few times a week for a couple of beers with my friend and have been doing so for the last year or so. The team working there are all really friendly, service is always excellent and the food is always spot on whenever I’ve had it, although that is quite rare.

Thanks again!

Found this little place after a lovely summers day stroll. Polite and friendly staff and drinks were nice. Would definitely call in again.

Friendly staff.

Friendly staff and great selection of drinks.

However that's where the niceties end.
The general appearance of the venue is much to be desired. The cleanliness is in need of review. Dirt, grime and old crisp packets left lying around in the window ledges.
There are holes in the seats and eighteen thousand (approx) staples in the ceiling and walls.

In my opinion the place needs closing for a week. Deep cleaning, decorating and a spruce.

Dump
I know it's a uni bar and I'm not a uni boy but it's disgusting, the toilet doors were broken, toilet paper all over the place and the bar area was not clean. Won't go again :'(

What a dump!

This place is shocking! Food left uncleared on tables for half an hour. Pint lager glass being broken ON the pool table and the couple continued playing! You stick to the floor if you stand still for too long and you have to because the bar staff chat to each other that much they haven't a clue who's to be served next. You queue up patiently (for over 10 minutes) and then someone walks straight up to the bar and gets served because the staff haven't the faintest idea of how to run a bar. Really a shame because this place used to be a good pub. Not any more I'm afraid.

Lunch time visit
Lovely pub right in the city centre. Good value pub food - all cooked well. My son particularly enjoyed the curly fries and southern fried chicken wrap. Juke box (digital) and pool table provided extra interest.
