A relaxing few days spent in the holiday cottage.

Just spent the last few days unwinding at Moorwood equine after Christmas and new year. Great walks with stunning views, top notch accommodation, all you need for the perfect little escape from the hustle and bustle. Excellent, thank folks!

Great introduction to equine life!

Started riding lessons here following our previous stable stopping lessons.

Absolutely brilliant, Victoria runs a superb facility with some excellent instructors.

Awful Communication
Apr 2015 • Solo
I have to state that I've never actually been to Moorwood, I never had the chance. I sent an e-mail enquiring about Pony Club at Moorwood as I've never been involved in Pony Club but I'm looking to start taking my niece, the e-mail wasn't answered but I assumed that the person who looks after the e-mail account was on holiday so after a week or so I decided to write a post on the Moorwood Facebook page since that seemed to be updated daily with regular responses to posts but my post was ignored whilst others made before and after mine were replied to by the Moorwood account. I also sent a direct message and noticed that it had been read but that too was ignored.

I find this behaviour absolutely disgraceful and it does nothing for attracting people to participation in equestrian pursuits, all I was asking for was information but my queries simply weren't important enough.

I am sorry you had a bad experience with us, unfortunately your email's were coming through as we were closing our riding school down. We still have a Livery Yard on site. The staff had all been made redundant at that point so they were not particulary keen to act in the interest of the business. I would like to thank you for your feedback. James (Business owner)

Friendly and downright awesome!
This us a brilliant place to come with kids getting into riding. The set up is friendly and relaxed (with an excellent line in bacon sandwiches!) and the instructors are excellent too. It's a lovely spot on the edge of the peaks so pack your thermals in the winter!!

Happy Hacking : )
Oct 2013 • Family
Daughter and myself booked via Living Social vouchers, had a 2 hour hack on gorgeous horses ('Dobbie' and 'Max') in beautiful countryside. Even the weather was perfect! The proprietor, Sam, and horse owner, Lynsey, who accompanied us were both very friendly and welcoming. They made sure that we had a safe and truly enjoyable ride, with plenty of cantering. Loved every minute and definitely plan to return.
This is nothing at all like the usual dull treks and standoffish manner of far too many UK riding establishments. We would totally recommend Moorwood.

Great place to hack out
Aug 2013 • Solo
I booked a 2hr hack through a LivingSocial deal. Although being a proficient rider, I hadn't ridden for around four years, so was a little apprehensive, but my fears were quickly dispelled.

My horse, Max, a BIG Clydesdale, was the ideal horse being "bombproof"!

The instructor, Sam, was friendly and knowledgable and took us on a great route throughout the area with stunning views over the valleys and villages at walk, trot and canter.

This is one of the best hacks I've been on - very good value for money.

I will certainly book again and look forward to returning.
