Had a great afternoon my son and myself feeding the animals. Really good value for money good reptile house staff get some of the animals out and let you touch them as well as answering your questions. A massive thank you to Abby Gail and the beautiful owl lots of interesting facts and again you get to interact with the owl Can also recommend the toffee cake delicious 😋…

Why haven’t we been before, great place and what a great couple of hours. Real value for money. Covid safe - hand washing, sanitisers everywhere & one way system round the park. Lots to see and interact with; starting with the indoor section - insects and small animals; before moving around the outdoor areas. There’s even a small gift shop and coffee shop. Downside - you have to walk through gift shop to get to entrance so niece had already spotted ‘Melvyn the Meerkat’ - soft toy who ended up coming home with us. Absolutely loved the Reindeers and don’t forget to buy a bag of food to feed the outdoor animals. My (and my nieces) absolute favourite - feeding the alpacas. My 7 yr old niece loved it (although left the ‘feeding’ and ‘slobbery hand’ to me; plenty of hand sanitizers though so all good). Definitely enough to do to pass an hour or two. Car park is a little small though; our visit was a Saturday mid day (which was steady but not over busy). Lots of happy little people which is a big thumbs up. Ignore google maps for this - sent us to Redmires Road and it’s Ringinglow Road. Very well recommended and would go again.…

Just spent a lovely couple of hours at Mayfield Alpacas with 2 pre-school grandsons. We all had a fabulous time. The small animal enclosures were well designed, clean and full of interesting small animals. The chipmunks were particularly entertaining. Then a lovely walk around the outside animal enclosures, a wide variety of animals all looked well cared for and there was a large variety on display. We loved Alan the pig and had fun feeding Alpacas, goats and peacocks. The park is compact enough for little legs with enough to keep their interest. Didn't try the cafe but the food looked good as we passed through. happy with the covid precautions and felt safe. Excellent value for money.…
