- cmullen487 contributionsWhite Christmas showAllways wanted to go to this theatre and wasn't disappointed. The show White Christmas was one of the best things we have seen in over 50 years of theatregoing. All seats have a briiliant view and the coloured door system is excellent. They could have a look at the interval drinks system because that was chaos. But this did not take away from the experience, all round terrific. WE WILL BE BACK.Visited January 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten January 15, 2024

We were treated like VIPs from start to finish! A beautiful meal with complimentary bar, and our host Sara couldn’t do enough for us! We were joined by Ken Doherty who didn’t just pop in for photos, he sat at the table for a good 15 minutes chatting and sharing stories. Worth every penny we spent on the experience.Visited April 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten April 21, 2024
- James T43 contributionsGo 45mins early and stand front leftYou must go! Once in a lifetime activity - do it. We were 4 rows behind the players and had in our view the best seats and they were £100 each or so for a semifinal of the world championships!! You don't need to spend much to enjoy this. What a place! Tip: be at the front of the front left queue - people will give you their headsets for free rather than paying £12+ for one once inside. Also the same for umbrellas - pick the freebie up before you go in!Visited May 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten May 4, 2024

- Margaret BSheffield, United Kingdom8 contributionsGreat play and good foodWe went to see A Dolls House at the Crucible Theatre this evening. The play was brilliant with an innovative set and great performances from the small cast, especially Siena Kelly as Nora. What made it extra special though was that we booked the pre show dinner in the Crucible Kitchen. Great value for 3 courses and a drink and they e mail the menu so that you can choose beforehand. This means your food is ready soon after you arrive and there is plenty of time to eat before the play. Friendly staff and quick service. The food was very good and beautifully presented. Would recommend.Visited September 2024Traveled as a coupleWritten September 27, 2024

Went to see Miss Saigon and loved it . We had a last minute booking and the cheapest seats but that does not matter at all. All seats in this “in the round” theatre are roomy, comfortable and have a great view. The bars and cafe areas were busy but coped well and unlike a lot of theatres there are enough toilets You don’t have to spend all the interval in a queue
It’s a long time since I’ve been to the Crucible and I’d forgotten how much I loved it

That time of the year again & snooker is high on our family’s priorities. We did our first session during the first week on the Tuesday afternoon. Comfortable seats & efficient air conditioning. Nice & warm also. The atmosphere is unique for this tournament & a sense of history is contained in the fabric of the building. Good lighting & an acceptable view of the tables in play. I have mobility issues but the staff were very helpful & kind. Bar adjacent the theatre doors & comfy seating can be found during intervals. For all snooker lovers this is the place to be during the World Championship.

The Crucible Kitchen is a new cafe in an updated area of the crucible theatre in Sheffield. Everything first class. Catered for my gluten free diet (Coeliac disease) brilliantly which is very refreshing.
The staff were very attentive, polite and helpful. The food was delicious and me and my friend thoroughly enjoyed our visit.. Five stars well deserved.

This is a wonderful modern theatre but with a great atmosphere. Easy to navigate and suitable for people with mobility issues. The seating is arranged around the stage and is tiered so you have a good view from all seats. The staff are superbly friendly and helpful. It has a snack bar, restaurant and gift shop. We went to see Miss Saigon and the production was absolutely stunning.

World Snooker time. My first visit and the venue really is unique. It’s compact and intense, for the two-table setup and all the better for it. I hope the World Championship remains here as the venue really makes this event special. Lovely friendly staff - theatre and WST - and well organised. I’d happily visit again. And I highly recommend the millennium shortbread from the crucible kitchen

Hi guys, have any of you ever sat on row A before. Class B (orange seats) as am I going soon and sure seats are good but just checking ?!

All the seats have a perfect view of the stage, we were sat quite a few rows back (row H) and I could see everything clearly! Enjoy!!

Can anyone give any tips for inexpensive overnight parking during world championships? Thanks
Written May 13, 2019
We stayed at the jury's inn and like most hotels around the area if you park in a multi storey the hotel reduces the car park fee to £8 for 24 hours. Get your token done at the reception

Like the others said, there aren’t any gardens at the Crucible.
The Winter Gardens are about 100 yards away and entry is free. So is the Millennium Gallery reached through the Winter Gardens.
The Peace Gardens have water fountains and encourage people to use them.
Some good pubs and eateries within easy reach of the Crucible and Winter Gardens,
Enjoy.

Unfortunately, we don't have a snooker museum at the Crucible. When the tournament is with us there are snooker related events in the Winter Gardens if you are able to get to any of those during the run of the tournament
Written March 16, 2018
yes there is and its free to use .your only allowed an handbag in the theater so any shopping ect has to be left at the cloakroom ,which is very safe and secure.

Not sure of the nearest, but Travel lodge are good value. Also talked to someone who used a Holiday Inn express nearby, which they booked a year in advance. Need to book quickly to get a room. Gets booked up,
