Seen many productions at the Crucible. With the stage being in the round, you feel you are part of the performance. I find it to be my favourite theatre venue. Also usually easy to get drinks beforehand and order for the interval.

Seen several performances here, with great views from all areas of the theatre. Plenty of pubs and cafes nearby, and in the theatre. Avoid parking in the NCP car park on Arundel Gate - expensive and very busy immediately after the show.

One of the finest theaters in the country for sure, constantly puts on good shows and is visited by lots of the best touring companies. I would definitely recommend visiting to see a play if you're in or around Sheffield.

Truly one of the very best theatres, particularly in the provinces outsde of London. Its intimacy is unsurpassed in my view. Particularly great for those claustrophobic Pinter/Beckett type plays but was also superb for The World Championship in April. Packed in like sardines and little...More

I went to see Wizard of Oz and I still can't get over how good it was and how well it was planned out. The cafe is so relaxing as well, just going in for a tea is lovely and peaceful.

Hi David - there is an enclosed garden area like a huge conservatory which is free but is locked at about 10pm each night I think. Hope this helps. Jon

Unfortunately, we don't have a snooker museum at the Crucible. When the tournament is with us there are snooker related events in the Winter Gardens if you are able to get to any of those during the run of the tournament

The Crucible is right in the city centre - Novotel, Mecure St Pauls, Leopold and Cutlers are all nearby. St Pauls and Leopold are the better ones (both 4 star) - St Pauls being the biggest and includes a pool/spa. Depends when you are coming, but there are some good deals currently on the web.
