We were there for a concert by Mary Chapin Carpenter. The theatre is an old fashioned auditorium, beautifully restored to its original splendour. The acoustics are excellent and the well designed seating ensures everyone gets a clear view of the entire stage. The seats are comfortable, with adequate leg room. There's a bar (usual high prices) and ample toilet facilities.... More

Love the pantomimes here, Damian Williams steals the show every time, counting the days till the next one. Great mix of kids & adult humour

The seats we had were good and we had a good view of everything what was happening on stage, Its lovely inside and the renovation has retained its quant character of the whole... More

Recently visited the lyceum in Sheffield to see chitty chitty bang bang.Excellent show, all the cast were spot on, and very professional. The theatre had great atmosphere and we had a great view of the stage. Only niggle was the very limited leg room and it was also very warm during the show. But all in all a very enjoyable experience... More

We saw chitty chitty bang bang here which was excellent. The theatre was very nice but those of us with long legs struggle to sit through the performance without getting cramp The bar prices aren't cheap but you can pre order interval drinks to save time queuing which is severe at the break

Visited the Lyceum to watch Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. The interior of the theatre is beautiful and viewing is good. We were sat in the balcony and were warned that this was restricted legroom. I have to say that this is true so if you are tall, do try and choose somewhere else as the seats are quite long meaning... More

Visited yesterday to watch chitty chitty bang bang and was wowed by the beautiful interior. It is as impressive as many of the London theatres we have visited and for us so much easier to attend being half hour drive away. The seats are comfortable and the view from the circle was excellent and unrestricted. Hopefully productions of this standard... More

Went to see chitty chitty bang bang the theatre was lovely clean and modern in the communal areas. The theatre itself is beautiful with lots of old details greatly refurbished in the past. The production was fabulous and as someone that isn't a theatre goer I wasn't sure what to expect. The cast was fantastic with plenty of familiar faces,... More

Saw Chitty Chitty Bang bang here! A typical victorian/Edwardian theatre, all seats quite close to the stage with good views & surprisingly in our stalls seats lots of legroom. Well kept theatre & the women had their photo's taken with lee mead so what more could they want!!

We went to Chitty Chitty bang bang today and absolutely loved it, we were 15 mins late as traffic was bad from Manchester but the staff took us up and let us sit on 3 vacant seats as our seats with friends were in the middle so we watched the first half in the boxes at the side which was... More
