We turned a corner and there it was. A pleasant square with fountains and an ideal location to chill in the city centre. It's next to the town hall and round about are several restaurants, all busy.

Every summer the peace gardens are transformed with the addition of a beach and deck chairs, there are rides and attractions that you would expect to find at the seaside,

After a busy morning shopping on the Moor, this is a lovely place to sit and watch the the world go by. We had sandwiches from the Greggs there and fed the birds whilst chuckling at the children who were playing in the water.

This is a nice little open park, but nothing all that special. There was a carnival going there while I was there that would have been fun for kids.

Whilst passing through looked for here to sit and relax only to find it has turned into a beach/play park for kids with loud music and stalls etc. I do not have an issue with this as it helps families keep the children occupied (having...More

A place to chill out and relax and play games or eat a picnic in a reasonably open people friendly zone. Good for children. Useful in good weather for events and meetings and seeing friends. Very comfortable to spend time here. There is a country...More

Get off at the bottom of West Street and walk down Leopold Street, or get off at Cathedral and walk up Fargate.
