The Peace Gardens have become more than a garden alongside the town hall. It has become a venue in its own right. There are frequent events held here as well as overspill from events on Fargate. They even put in a beach for Sheffield by the Sea. It is a nice safe area with fountains for the kids to play... More

a pleasant way to relax, bring a book, or camera, enjoy the water fountains let the children get wet as they run in and out of the water, sit and enjoy as you relax.

A great place just to sit and to watch the world go by on a pleasant day. The fountains are very attractive.

A lovely spot, framed by the Town Hall, fountains, the Winter Gardens, cafes and restuarants (and some hideous modern glass boxes.) I just love how a cross section of the community comes out to enjoy this space.

In the centre of Sheffield, we came across the Peace Gardens with their fountains. A very pleasant place to take a breather, with the lovely town hall behind.

i never go when its busy even with my own daughter. if you can stand the eastern Europeans glaring at women, the odd tramp or junkie asking for change you be soon. its ok in week when there are less people for a coffee and a catch up with friends. also seemly a lot off shifty men about when the... The Peace Gardens had a bit of a makeover a few years ago, adding a sort of water fountain where kids run in and out of the cold shower in their cosies. This feature attracts hundreds of kids on warm, sunny days. At weekends during school holidays Sheffield Council organise a number of events for children usually something like helter-skelter...
