While it's no Kew or Edinburgh garden, it's a pleasure to have a garden available in Sheffield. Great for a day trip, an afternoon walk, or a special trip during any time of year

I tend to lunch here before work on a sunny day - those rare ones we get. Always a highlight of Summer!

Went here when visiting Sheffield recently. After lunch in the Curators House near main entrance I took in the gardens for a walk. Plenty of colourful flowerbeds and set amongst the trees made for a bit of quiet time just outside city centre. On a sunny day would be perfect for picnics and chilling out. The greenhouse is typical of... More

I have been to the Botanicals many times, and it is enjoyable. Whether going for a picnic, an event, school, or a first aid duty, it is nice to have a look around, even if the weather can be truly vile. The squirrels are friendly and the pigeons do not object to being given odd names and "adopted" for part... More

Oh dear, a lovely garden spoiled by the rude attitude of the "Wedding Planner'. Unfortunately when I arrived looking for information, the office was closed despite it being 13:15, (the office is closed between 12:00-13:00). Reluctantly a lady appeared and abruptly told me she was the 'Wedding Planner' and could not provide assistance. Venue hire is a revenue stream yet... More

Called here while doing the Sheffield Herd elephant trail. Suprised by how large the gardens are, and how clean and peaceful the area is. Not particularly interested in plants etc, but still a good place to spend an hour or so. Nice little cafe too
