Spent the day here with my boyfriend and it was glorious! The weather was perfect and we found a little spot in the walled garden for a romantic picnic. We also had ice cream in the cafe and had a little look around the Victorian greenhouses which are beautiful. This is one of our favourite spots with our best memories.... More

I whiled away a very pleasant hour wandering round watching the birds and admiring the early Spring flowers, notably snowdrops. The glasshouse looked very interesting from the outside (I was there before it opened!). The beds and borders are well maintained and there was an overwhelming sense of peace.

A garden with temperate plants in a large glass enclosure. Quite amazing but I am not sure why it's there

I love visiting the Botanical gardens, its very peaceful on a Autumn/Winters day or very lively in the summer and spring months, you will always find kids playing on the grassed areas and families with picnics. If your not a picnic person there is a lovely café, which is well priced and serves fantastic food all year round. My kids... More

I've been going to the "botanics" for years and it still is as beautiful as it has always been. Fantastic gardens, beautiful glass houses and wonderful history.

Had a wonderful Sunday afternoon stroll with friends. Ideal meeting place. Fabulous high position, above Sheffield. Enjoyed nearby cafe culture in Eccleshall Road. Enjoyed the trees and shrubs and very tame squirrels (very happy to run up your leg if standing for too long in one place!) Nice little visitor shop by gates selling relative and seasonal items, staffed, I... More
