I've just finished my second year here and I'm so glad I chose Sheffield Hallam University. I'm on an excellent course, great staff, great opportunities to do paid work & voluntary work, good careers advice, good student union... I really can't complain at all.

Has grown to become Sheffield other world renown University. Very popular with foreign students, particularly Chinese. Great supporters of business and medical researchers. Various sites throughout the city and surrounding areas.

SHU to me is home and every time I see that bright pink lights as I come into the city I feel great. I love it, it has amazing facilities as a student and it is in a great location for both bars and transport but the building looks like the turned an old mental asylum into a university

I have mixed feelings about SHU. I had an interview for my Postgrad here and somehow it didn't feel right. Rejected the offer and decided to try universities in the south of England. Indeed I was offered better support at the start what made me feel super encouraged to continue my passions - remember if you have any doubts about... More

Visitied here for a guest speaker lecture in June. Great facilities on offer, very modern building. Staff friendly and knowledgable. Would happily reattend any course on offer her.

Have just finished my 2nd year here and can honestly say it's been the best time of my life! Amazing city with great night life and plenty of things to do. All the lecturers are so supportive and will do anything to help you with your studies. I play hockey and there are brilliant sports facilities - without comparison! The... More

The university itself is average, it could do with being revamped. The lifts are pretty cool but dangerous, as they don't stop moving , you just have to jump on a moving elevator witch is scary. Its not really a great place to graduate from to my knowledge.

I would hope it goes without saying that Sheffield Hallam exhibit superior chat in comparison to any similar establishment of it's kind in the city, that is without doubt. Furthermore, the architecture of the buildings has deserved it's place among the most aesthetic within the borders of Sheffield. Not deserving however, of it's reputation as an inferior supply of education... More
